She needs to see a doctor right away. This is not something to fool around with.

Without knowing specifics of your friend's symptoms and history it would be tough to offer a guess. There are a number of things it could be, so try not to jump to the worst case scenario, though, until she's been evaluated by a doctor.
Vomiting blood means there's a bleed coming from the upper gastrointestinal tract, probably the stomach or esophagus.
Is she on any medications at all?
What color is the blood in her vomit (is it dark red, or bright red?)

she could have a vitamin deficiency, anemia, some kind of hypertension, the best thing is for her to go to the doctor. She is afraid she has cancer, but it could be something far more benign and easier to fix, so get her to go. if it is something more serious, the sooner it is caught the sooner it can be mended. lots of cancers have excellent cure rates, as long as it is diagnosed early.

It could be a serious illness and she needs to get to the doctor's immediately.
Have her lay down and give her a lot of water to drink and perhaps some warm tea.

Sorry to hear about your friend. I would pray for her and make sure she gets to the hospital and run every test possible. She needs to get her blood tested and see if anyone else in her family suffers from cronic illnesses/ family history.

There are a multitude of things that could be causing these symptoms. I wouldn't let it go if your friend is this bad. Take her to the ER. ASAP!
