I do not agree with this at all, why? Because when I finally let go of my pride, and opened my eyes to faith in the salvation that comes only in Christ- nothing seemed clearer to me. Just because I believe in faith does not mean I did not reason through my faith, before I came to believe. Instead of seeking knowledge to help me find Christ, He imparted wisdom to me, and because of that my eyes were open to His truth. I really do not care if you think I am out of my mind, because actually that is a complement. I have the mind of Christ now.

I think faith should be accepted by devotion and no need to know its reason because in faith there are many hidden things that can not be proved its existence by our eyes.

Faith needs a foundation. The word of God is the foundation for faith.

I'd be interested to know the context and whether he was basically insulting faith as irrational or that he meant that you can't rationalize faith.
