It won't hurt your cat to have dog food occasionally. It should not however be his main source of food. Dogs and cats have different dietary needs and the foods are formulated to meet those specific needs. There are vitamins and nutrients that cats need that are not found in dog food. It can cause health problems for the cat later if it is on dog food only. Similar to a person never getting calcium or iron, you can survive, but there will be problems at some point. Dogs do better on cat food, but often gain weight due to the higher fat and protein levels in cat food. Ideally each should be fed a primary diet designed for them. Treats should be based on each animal individually, some of my cats do fine with table scraps and others can't digest everything. My dog can and does eat anything that will fit in her mouth (this is not something I encourage). Don't stress over the food eaten so far. Just buy a good quality cat food from now on and enjoy your furry friend.

Cats have different dietary requirements and dog food does not contains the necessary vitamins and minerals they need. Dog food can give cats stomach upsets and other problems.
Bizarrely, a sick dog can eat cat food as it is not as hard on the dog's digestive system as regular dog food.
But you should not feed dog food to your cat.

No, because I don't date morons. There's a reason it's called dog food - don't feed it to your cat. Cats need more protein than dogs do so get a CAT food - and not the cheap crap from the grocery store.

Cats can exist on dogs food for weeks previously there are any unfavorable outcomes. whilst dogs food is slightly short on the particularly some ingredients that are put in cat food and lacking some amino acids that cats require, there is going to be no injury to the cat lacking them for some days. The tuna won't injury as long because it somewhat is low in salts, yet you're able to desire to throw the cat a chew of uncooked meat too. she would be in a position to delight in that.

I don't think that the dog food will harm your cat, but it shouldn't become it's staple diet. Dogs and cats have different nutritional needs and the cat won't get all the nutrients it needs from the dog food.

Dog food does not contain the vitamins and nuturients a cat requires.
On a one off ocassion it won't do any harm.
If your cat ate it then its not a fussy eater.
