Actually contrary to popular belief (as is shown by answer already posted here) God used to be the founding force in our great country (made so great by God).

My sister actually was looking up some quotes that would be good right now, earlier today, I'll share some.

John Adams and John Hancock:
We Recognize No Sovereign but God, and no King but Jesus! [April 18, 1775]

John Adams:
“ The general principles upon which the Fathers achieved independence were the general principals of Christianity… I will avow that I believed and now believe that those general principles of Christianity are as eternal and immutable as the existence and attributes of God.”
• “[July 4th] ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty.”
–John Adams in a letter written to Abigail on the day the Declaration was approved by Congress

Samuel Adams: | Portrait of Sam Adams | Powerpoint presentation on John, John Quincy, and Sam Adams
“ He who made all men hath made the truths necessary to human happiness obvious to all… Our forefathers opened the Bible to all.” [ "American Independence," August 1, 1776. Speech delivered at the State House in Philadelphia]

Alexander Hamilton -
"In my opinion, the present constitution is the standard to which we are to cling.... Let an association be formed to be denominated 'The Christian Constitutional Society,' its object to be first: The support of the Christian religion. Second: The support of the United States."
April 16-21, 1802 letter to James Bayard

Patric Henry -
"The great pillars of all government...[are] virtue, morality, and religion. This is the armor, my friend, and this alone, that renders us invincible."
Jan. 8, 1799 letter to Archibald Blair

Thomas Paine -
"The cause of America is in a great measure the cause of all mankind. Where, say some, is the king of America? I'll tell you, friend, He reigns above."
1776 Common Sense

These quotes show that at least our founding fathers knew and proffessed that America was "One Nation Under God" as they say.

Now, how to bring religion back? This I don't know, while we have so many who despise religion, and argue which religion would be best suited to bring back, since their are so many, as long as those people are living here I don't know that we can bring it back. Read the Constitution, it's a good read, and you will see that we started as a CHRISTIAN Nation, with freedom of religion WITHIN the christian sects, and that the reason for "seperation of church and state" was to keep from making one sect the ruling sect and forcing people to go to a certain government paid for church. As was the case in England where you had to be catholic or pursecuted, and you had to change religions when the king (or queen) felt like it.

I think that in this age, the smartest way to bring religion back, would be to educate people about it, and to be fair, my approach is that in public school we offer a religion class, a class that discusses, whith no religion as the best, all the aspects of all the different (most of the best known) religions, and explains them and what they entail, to the children. This would bring back education as well as Religion, and being an extra curricular class would be optional, and would also give a general knowledge so kids aren't so blind as to whats going on. A curriculem would be hard to find, and might need to be made just for this, but in the near future I am going to propose just such an idea to the state. A religion class could also, possibly, be a class that would give college credits, or at least look good on applications.

To bring back religion in other aspects, my best bet it for us to stard having MORALs again. Morals are a very biblical thing, and without them we are lost, right now, we are lost.

We as a people need to bring back morals and education, religion will come with those as a discused topic and then will be decided on by people. If we show the good and the bad of each religion, which is not done so much now, people will be better informed to make a decision.

You seem to be unaware that of all of the western democracies, the U.S. is easily the one where the Christian religion holds the greatest importance. You also seem to be unaware that professing religious faith does not make anyone a better citizen. Some of the most devout individuals have turned out to be rogues or incompetents. This is the 21st century, not the 14th. The solutions that worked in the Dark Ages and the Renaissance no longer suffice. Turning one's back on science is a fool's game.

Only if you are his father ,if not no chance.God is now in heaven, not here.If he is here ,why don't he help the Christian ?Maybe Christian also cannot get out of Karma.Becoming a Christian is also Karma. The force of natural is called Karma.Karma is the way of life. What is beyond is beyond.History is history.Life come and go.God cannot change yesterday to today.God did not force people to believe in him.Maybe some of his words is make by man.Man betray God and put words into his mouth after he die.If God is here ,i believe he will stand out and clear his name ?May God Bless all and make them understand you more.......Amen

How can we bring God back?
he never left. God is always there for those who believe and except Him. And for those who don't, then He may appear to have left, because they are not looking for Him. But He is still here, and always will be.

I'm assuming you mean, "How can we turn the tide of increased immorality and draw multitudes back to the saving work of Christ."

Every revival in recent history has begun with people who would spend hours and days and weeks seeking God for an outpouring. When us comfortable, security loving American set aside our easy life and do let go of God until He blesses us, then and only then will we see a visitation of God.

Watch the "Transformation" video's for inspiration or read about the welsh revival, or Charles Finney, etc.

GOD never left us we left him!!!! we need to return to him and give him the worship and glory that only he deserves! our country is in all this turmoil because we have turned away from GOD and think we do not need him and that we are so wise and we accept things that GOD clearly abhors and we say it is good and make a mockery of GOD and of truth and right and wrong !!! GOD has not abandoned us ---we shut him out !!! he is patiently waiting for our return but he will not wait forever!!!

He is here. G-d will not just make the world a better place. We are partners with G-d and thats why we are here. If G-d does everything, why would he bring us here and we would rely on him to much. G-d will only help if we act.

It will take a while and will never fully come back ,but there are more Christians here than i thought there would be. i mean all we have to do is show people where they are going wrong and how we are right to believe in God and then God will do the rest.

I thought God was omnipotent and omnipresent. If both of those are true, then he couldn't possibly be removed from this country.

Are you saying that God is NOT omnipresent and omnipotent. ?
