Food and your condolences. Since jews are not traditionally allowed to bake during the week of mourning, or "shiva," food and company would most likely be very appreciated.

A lot depends on how well you know each other. Some bosses are very detached from the workers and you may rarely see them. Or, you may know each other reasonably to very well. In either case, why not consider, at first, a sympathy card? The other workers may have one of these already going around (we did at the agency where I used to work).

Best wishes for you and your boss during this very difficult time.

A nice condolence card should be plenty. Or if you know her really well and she doesn't keep kosher you could bring her a casserole. But if she's just your boss, I'd stick with a card. Oh, and you could make a small donation in her husband's memory to a charity of your choice or to one he might have been interested in. Even just $10, it's the thought that counts.

The tradition is to bring food to a Jewish house in mourning. If they keep kosher, it will need to be from a kosher store, or you can bring them a fruit salad or something.

P.S. Don't send it to them. Bring it to their house personally, if you feel comfortable enough to do that.

Whatever you do, don't bring flowers. Flowers are used to mark happy occasions and when brought to sad occasions, they are offensive.

Peace

Whatever your country considers appropriate. I think in America this means: Flowers, and a card.
I am sorry for your friends loss. Peace.
