I am simply trying to figure how much information tenants of Creationism have... but feel free to bash and flame if you need to.

I am one to preach that you need to understand something before you reject it. Basic knowledge prevents people to go against something based on assumptions.

Of course, I could give the definition of all the terms above, but that would ruin the purpose of the question...

I am not assuming that religious people are unintelligent. Einstein believed in God, so does Stephen Hawkins, two men I greatly respect. I am polling creationists to see what level on knowledge they have, Those 3 words are the basic of basic.

If I wanted to be mean, I would ask something like: "Gravity is only a theory. There is no actual proof that this theory is right. Should Gravity not be thought in school because it contredicts the Bible?"

Mwahaha! My question has been restored! The system works!... I can't believe someone reported this.

Natural selection: animals that have helpful qualities or traits live longer and produce more offspring than other similar animals.

Evolution: the theory that lower lifeforms evolve into higher lifeforms.

Adaption: the way a species changes to meet new challenges or surroundings.

At least, I think that's what they are. I'm a creationist. :)

I believe in creationism-but not as the bible states it-I see that story as a symbolic tale to explain something that the time frame just wasnt ready to understand. They weren't ready to learn about scientific , empirical situatiuons.

That being said, I am a psych major- Yes I have an education on who and what Darwin taught and I'm intelligent enough to know that Evolution (MACRO) is not proven-Yet I still feel it's the best explanation for how GOD created the Earth. Yes, you can belive God created the universe and believe in science-That's because God created science, and the laws in which they work.
If God did some bigbang and started evolution slowly-knowing what would occur....I have no probs with that. In fact, In my Catholic High school they taught evolutionary theories.

You assume that because someone has a belief in something other than the physical reality that they are ignorant towards educational sciences and psychological theories-I won'tjustify your post with answers to definitions that any one person could easily google.

Quizzing ppl to prove a point, not cool.
In the end, whether you admit to it or not-You are only trying to establish your superiority over those with faith in a God, for all we know you may have less understanding of science than the posters here....We don't know and why anyone would want to prove themselves by answering the definitions is beyond me.

Never stated you were establishing meanness, and your arguement of what is mean-Makes absolutely no sense as it argues against what you are talking about.

Natural Selection is the means by which certain individuals in a population are selected for survival by avoiding various means of death, such as disease or natural disaster, allowing them to reproduce.

Evolution is the hypothesis that all life, or sometimes all animals, have a common ancestor. It is a hypothesis because it can not be tested or experimented, nor can it be observed in fossil records since one can not determine which fossils belong to ancestors of other fossil remains; that is, one cannot observe that a specific bird is the direct descendant of a specific other species through fossils.

Adaptation is the change of an organisms phenotype based on environmental factors, it occurs within a single organisms life. Height, strength, eyesight, skin color, etc. are a result of environmental impacts on one's body. It rarely results in genetic change and therefore is hereditary but not guaranteed to occur in offspring.

Natural selection: Only the strong survive. Breed the best with the best, the least die out.

Evolution: A slow progression over time of people/animals changing to adapt to the changes due to exposure. A bird on an island is to change drastically over time due to weather, food availability, and so on. It obviously is more than this, but it would take too long.

Adaptation: this is a guess, but I'd say when people/animals adapt to their surroundings based on certain circumstances, like climate. I suppose this could go hand and hand with evolution.

Creation: God spoke life into existance. I choose life, the life that was granted to me by my God, my creator, through the blood of the lamb Jesus Christ.

Natural selection is simply survival of the fittest.

Evolution and adaptation are similar in that in both the species changes to survive in it's current surroundings.
Evolution however is the physical changing of the body structure and adaptation can be either a physical change or the use of tools, instruments, technology to fill in where the physical is insufficeint.

At least that is how I understand it.

I know a bit that I could probably access on demand but since I really don't believe those things and no one has successfully proven to me that what I believe is wrong, they are not the dominate subject of my thoughts.

Edit: I don't need to study something to know that its false...all I have to do is study the true things and because I do that I can easily identify what is false. Besides, I'm not ignorant of the major themes of those ideas...I have talked with plenty of people and I have torn down each and every one of those theories every time they have presented them to me. I have not been disuaded against what I believe. Its not a choice to be ignorant....I do listen...very closely...with ears wide open. I just keep hearing a lot of lies.

Notice how no one has answered your question. They just copy paste the same old disproved rhetoric from those creationist websites like their fundy parents or pastors have programmed them to do.
