Some people don't consider it as shoving it down your throat. Some feel that that's their ministry and that's what they're suppose to do. For example, Jehovah witness do it all the time, I'm not bothered by it, you just need to stand up for what you believe and why when they do it. I'm a Christian and I don't shove anything down anyone's throat....unless they start asking me questions. If they crack the door, then I'm gonna put my foot in it. As a Christian, we have to stand up for Christ and take the opportunity to share the word. Don't take it personal, just be prepared.

As a Christian, I totally agree with you, love. It is rather annoying. People assume I am unsaved ALL the time and do the same to me, Why? Because I have tons of Tats, black/blue hair and love crazy make up and weird clothing.
Sometimes we can me judgmental and rude. If we are real Christian, we will act in love. And realize that a cross with a tip is better than one and no tip. like a nice note and a tip, saying how great a waitress you are. not just the note.
It amazes me how some people just don't get it.

I remember waiting tables. One time a big church group came in and it was clear from the beginning that I was beneath them. They ran me ragged, and at the end I found a $10 bill on the table, which would have been an acceptable, if not adequate tip, considering the cost of their meals. Then, when I picked it up, it turned out to be a track, not money at all. On the flip side it said, "Disappointed? You won't be if you give your life to Jesus!" There's a special place in hell for these people! MUAHAHA!

Im a christian and would find that very offensive if it happened to me...... it says int bible not to go about it that way... and what they are doing is turning ppl away from christianity...maybe their intentions are good, but that is totally rude!! do you wear a shirt that says "i dont believe" or something like that?? just wondering why ppl would just do that to someone out of the blue?? did anything provoke it?

horrible. I'm sorry you are around people like that. I'm a born-again Christian. those people are/were bad witnesses. And I mean come on...if their going to leave little booklets on the table wouldn't it be smart to leave a BIG tip? that's what i'd do...

Facts
1. The person "asked." You can kindly say "no." That is not shoving.
2. Jesus can love anyone he feels like, even if anyone doesn't love back. Got a problem with him?
3. The book cost money, so it should count for more than "no tip." Do you vent on Yahoo! Answers when someone doesn't give you one tip? Didn't think so

I agree with you!
though not all, or even most, Christians are like this
Christians like this give the rest of us a bad name
but I get where their coming from, they want to express their faith and let others know they care
but if they do this constantly, it gets annoying...

Well, I wouldn't do any of than, but I wouldn't be offended if someone told me Allah loved me. In fact, I wouldn't be offended if someone told me Krishna wanted me to be good.
The no-tip business is just sick and stingy -- I'm embarrassed for my fellow Christians.

I have to agree with Isiah, you have a very rude attitude in life and that ain't going to get you far at all. You are going to have to stand before Jesus in Judgement day and give an acount for all you have said and done in your sinful life. Now since the gospel has been presented to you and you have rejected it you will be certailny condemed for that, and yes there is a literal hell. it is deep in the earths crust, that is where all the departed lost souls are, and guess what only losers end up there, are you going to be one of them? You have a choice. and whatever disision you make on this eath ragarding excepting Jesus in your life will determine where you spend eternity. You reap what you sow, do not forget that.
