At his trial when asked directly "are you God", his reply was "No, that what you say I am, I am the son of God, and the son of man".
In Genesis, it says we are all created in the likeness of God. I assume that means we are given souls.

In the Book of John, chapter 10, verse 30 it says : " I and the Father are one." This was Jesus boldly declaring His Divinity to the Jews.

i actually don't know where that is...he is the son of God...that is in the Bible...go to you bible index and you can find it...but as for Jesus actually being God, i don't think so...i mean, God and Jesus are two separate beings....if you have questions on that, then contact me...i can explain that.

When the disciple Thomas fell at the (Risen) Jesus' feet and worshipping in awe said, "My Lord and My God." Jesus did not tell him not to do that. He received the worship.
John fell at the feet of an angel in Revelation, and the angel says, "No. See to it that you don't do this."
Only God is to be worshipped,. and along with Thomas I say to Jesus, "My Lord and My God."

You won't find it at all in Mark, Matthew or Luke. John, which was written much later than the three hints strongly at it...but it is never explicitly stated.
That is why there was so much debate in the Church for the first few hundred years, about whether Jesus was man, God, or both.

To find out what something really means I tend to look at several translations if there is any ambiguity... so to be very clear!
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%201:18;&version=33;
John 1 (New Living Translation)
18 No one has ever seen God. But the unique One, who is himself God, is near to the Father’s heart. He has revealed God to us.
John 1 (Young's Literal Translation)
18God no one hath ever seen; the only begotten Son, who is on the bosom of the Father -- he did declare.
John 10:26-30 (New King James Version)
26 But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you.
27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.
28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.
29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.
30 I and My Father are one.”
There is only one God and Jesus is his son and part of the trinity and the only path to heaven and the only one that could have ever paid for our sins! No one else would have been able to pay for our sins no matter what he suffered.
His claim was very clear to the Jews at the time when he said before Abraham I am. God refers to himself as "I am" to Moses and this was a clear reference to that claim. Read Case for Christ by Lee Stroebel or Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis for more.

"Christ died for men precisely because men are not worth dying for; to make them worth it." - C.S. Lewis

All up and down the gospels. I'm not gonna go through it for you but yes He does make that claim. why do you think the pharisees hated Him so much and said He was a blasphemer?
