Since a Police Officer cannot associate with known felons, it could be a disqualifier.

often, a legal conviction of any type will disqualify you from regulation enforcement artwork. bear in mind that your juvenile criminal checklist is sealed, this is not erased. get right of entry to a sealed checklist is often by using a courtroom order yet, history investigations by using federal, state, and native companies are often allowed. The federal companies you checklist, in specific, the national protection enterprise; will learn your history to the day of your start. in case you're actually and grownup, and have committed no different violations of regulation; you should attempt to have the criminal checklist expunged. meaning the checklist is eradicated, like it in no way got here approximately. on the same time as there could be some atypical checklist of it floating around, your valid checklist might practice no legal crimes. And, you may actual state on an utility which you have no longer have been given a legal checklist. To expunge a checklist, you will want the centers of an lawyer.

Its going to be hard.

Every agency does a comprehensive back ground check and that includes looking into your associates.

Every agency I know of also has strict policies against association with convicted felons. So, if you are married to a felon it will be considered a 'Character Flaw' against you and you will be passed over.

Don't mean to sound cruel... just giving you the facts.

IF YOU ARE THE SAME PERSON?

WHAT DOES YOUR SPOUSE HAVE TO DO WITH YOU?

ALTHOUGH THEY MAY ASK ABOUT YOUR SPOUSES LIFESTYLE LATELY, THEY ARE INTERVIEWING YOU AND SHOULD INTERVIEW YOU.
