Bangs don't necessarily give you acne. If you have bad skin to begin with, then gettting bangs that stick to your forehead all day could contribute to the mess. But if you have okay skin, wash your face and hair regulary, then you will be fine. Suggestion: Blot your forehead with those special face tissues (sold at the make-up counter at Macys or Sephora) when you go to the bathroom during the day to keep your face shine free and your bangs from sticking to your forehead.
And don't worry becuase bangs are IN!

I think that the problem is that the dirt and oil that collects on your bangs touches your face all day. It probably won't be a problem as long as you wash your hair everyday. Anytime your hair sits on your face it could potentially cause a little irritation or keep the oil sitting on your skin but this is really a minimal concern. If the bangs give you any acne it will be on your forehead and now that you have bangs, your forehead will be covered. Problem solved.

Bangs CAN give you acne on your forehead and between your eyes, but usually only if you have oily hair. You hair can get oily from the oils on your skin and make your skin irritated on goes the endless cycle. But my friends have really clean hair, it's rarely ever oily, so they don't get acne there, but I have really bad dandruff so it makes my hair oily and in turn giving me acne almost everywhere.. But I would suggest washing your hair often to stop the oils from gathering and if you don't wash your hair often, just wash your bangs in the morning. I do that if I don't have time to have a shower before school. :-)
AND WASH YOUR FACE OFTEN!! I use Clinque Clarifying face product line. There are three steps, wash your face with the "Oily Skin Soap", then blot on "Step Two Clarifying Lotion"(it's more of a liquid than lotion), and then "Step Three Moisturizing Solution."
But do not use Kari brand Lotion, It clogs your pores..

Well that depends. When I had bangs I got really bad acne on my forehead. I dont get acne there, haven't for over 6 years since I dont have bangs anymore but that's because my bangs used to get oily from me touching them (oil from fingers). If you dont have oily hair and you dont touch your bangs then you will be fine!

Right now my skin is perfectly clear, for the first time in 3 years. It's been about 9 weeks and all my acne is gone. It is such a great feeling to wake up with clear skin.

That's not true. The only thing that could couse ane is if you are constantly touching your bangs and your face and getting dirt and oil on your face. But seriously, why would anyone have bangs if it caused acne? Tell your friend she is wrong.

Definatly NO TRUE... it depends on the type of skin you have and if you keep your hair clean.
I've had bangs for years and have dry skin and i've never gotten any acne from my bangs...
However, if you have oily skin or are prone to acne you would probably need to keep your hair very clean and wash it often to help prevent acne...
hope this

YES! they are super cute, but i got bangs and they gave me acne =p So i got the clinique 3-step acne system it worked really well. just try and wash your hair at least every other day or your bangs can get greasy. also try not to touch your bangs to much because that will make them get more greasy

your hair and your face have nothing to do with eachother. You can get acne through genetics, hormones, stress or simply through oily skin. Just make sure you wash your face after you sweat and make sure to wash your face before going to bed. Refrain from touching your face too because the oil and dirt on your hands can clog the pores on your face. Other than this advice, just know that your bangs don't influence acne. They are two separate things...
