Based on the link, at least one will.

I don't know the first thing about this movie or Pullman's books. I'd have to see the movie before I could determine if it's anti-Christian or just the point of view of someone who is not Christian. There are other points of view in the world besides the Christian one and to censor or ignore those points of view doesn't accomplish anything.

well, i've read the books, and i gotta tell you, those thigns really changed by perspective of things. i was a christian before and a christian after and still am today. yes, the books to portray the Church as the bad guy, but not necessarily religion. it is about the conflict good and evil, but in the end what wins out is human nature, which is both and neither. the god in the movie is not the same God you and i worship; but yes, he does die near the end. the books at least aren't about "killing God" in the literal sense, they're about getting past the beurocracy and politics and hypocracy of the church. i would encourage you to read the books first and make your own educated decision instead of basing it on short excerpts of quotes from interviews a long time ago. if you read them, approach them with an open mind and if you still don't like the idea then by all means don't go see the movie. even if you don't want to buy the books they're almost certainly at your local library i know mine has two books of each part of the trilogy. also, i'm not sure about the movies but the books at least are NOT childrens books and not intended to be so. Nicole Kidman, who plays one of the main roles in the movie and is also Catholic said not to long ago in an interview that she wouldn't have done the movie if she'd thought it was anti-christian. however, she also acknowledged it was "not for children"

Probably not. They'll recommend that Christians stay home and boycott the movie. Which is fine by me. It"ll keep the lines shorter for me.

Check out the movie's site. Click the Daemon button at the top after choosing a language. I got a ocelot named Pelagia. Test said I am modest, assertive, responsible, solitary, and humble.

The Golden Compass is entertainment not a spiritual, religious nor theological event, so why should any religious apologist recommend or not?

People will watch it whether or not it is verbotem, recommended ignored by the spiritual gurus.

I guess they're taking a "know thy enemy" stance because they know kids are going to be curious and want to see it anyway. That was the tactic used about Harry Potter in a lot of places.

It wouldnt be the first time and I doubt it would be the last. For example Harry Potter didnt exactly get the warmest reviews for its potrayals of witchcraft..

The Golden Compass spread the lies of atheism. Christians should be wise enough to avoid it.

I cannot think of any apologists who will avoid the film because of the plot or subject matter.

BTW, "...go and watch..." is better put: "...watch..."

If it's a good film, why not? If it's more rantings by Communists, why bother? Films are judged on their worth, not anything else.
