that is a very good, question. . . .here is my take on it, regardless of your 'classification' on religion, which i truly believe it is. . . if you accept jesus in your heart and know that he died on the cross for your sins, and that he was the creator of heaven and earth. Then you are saved. As long you do not worship other 'gods' . .. .

And i do believe that there will be many different and diverse people in heaven, not just Christians, or not just catholics! But many different religions, I also belive that because you do certain things, like your sexual orientation will not damn you to hell, certain people like that, and EVERYONE, is going to have there chance before god, and i truly believe that god can see in your heart, and know who you are, and no label, or a certain church is a guranteed ticket to heaven. . . .

thanks for listening! :)

. . . .and after reading a little bit of the answers. . . i am not god, so i cannot say what is wrong or not. . . we can tell our opinions and beliefs, but only god can say what is wrong or not!!!

That view is just pushed, to bully people into converting. Gone are the days when a whole village went to church, or someone would be sent out to collect them, if they failed to attend.

One mans heaven, is another mans hell (or woman for that matter)

We create our own heaven/hell

Two much used phrases....

Heaven need not be the final place, im sure that we can, live other lives too, Before and after we reach any heaven

yeah it does suck when people think that way, but it has to do with believing you are right. so i don't condemn anyone, but instead with sincere and deep Bible study about what God says is right with those who want to learn, it becomes obvious if they are going to heaven or hell. the Bible always makes it clear who is saved and who is not. man just has to listen to it. does the Bible say that all religions will be in heaven?
:^)
Heaven is a place being prepared by Jesus Christ for those who are being prepared for it in Him. so anyone who is not in Christ will not be at home there and will not belong. it is for the family of God who gave up their lives for Jesus Christ while here on earth. but the opinions on this matter are as numerous as the stars in the sky. yet like i said, the true answer who is going or not is in the Bible.

People that treat religion with a view that one way is right and one way is wrong are entirely ignorant. Religion itself is corrupted into so many factions of the original that for anyone to say that another way is absolutely wrong, especially when they share so many of the same values, is rediculous. When all is said and done I hope to see nothing but good people in heaven and all of them from different religions and backgrounds. That is what makes a person go to heaven. Being selfless, kind, and decent. Good luck on your own road to heaven and dont let anyone down here give you directions to a place they've never been to themselves.

it depends on how literal they take the bible. There are a lot of religions that feel they are the closest to god and that only they walk the path to righteousness. that's simply not true. there will be good people from all faiths in religions to walk the streets of heaven. What you need to do, if you so feel it, is find one that speaks to your heart, and has the same convictions as you do and then it will give you a clearer understanding of what I am talking about. Often times people only know and believe what their preacher or reverend or priest tell them, because that's what they teach.

well, you are wrong and the preacher is wrong.

you will not find all religions in heaven. Heaven is a place for people who have submitted their lives to the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ. All others would feel very out of place.
They will go the other place.

And the preacher is wrong. The only church that you must belong to is the church of Jesus Christ - the body of believers throughout the world who hold to the Lordship of the Lord Jesus Christ.

god bless

u got a religous person to think - u must be a messiah..

i agree with you about finding all religions in heaven..

i think it's odd that the preacher specifically said "his church" - he must want more money from the collection plate

You got most of that right.
But, you will not find all religions in Heaven.
Every major religion claims exclusive truth, that is that they alone have the truth.

For instance, Jesus said:
Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me." John 14:6

There are other exclusive claims made in the New Testament, but that one will suffice.

Jesus never claimed to be a great teacher, philosopher, rabbi; He only claimed to be the Savior, the Divine Son of God.

C.S. Lweis said that either Jesus was a lunitic on the level of one who claims to be a poached egg, or else He was the most Demonic liar and deciever that ever walked the face of the earth; or else He was who He said He is, the very Son of God, Savior of the world. He gave no other choice. You either accept Him on His own terms, or reject Him on your own terms.

Paschal made a wager: Either one of us may be right, but the consequences differ. If you are right ane we all make it to Heaven, and it does not matter what one believes. But if I am right, then I will spend eternity with God in Heaven and you will not. Either way, I win. Your way, I win. My way, you lose. So the question is this: Do you believe Jesus when He said that no one comes to God but through Him, or not?

When we die, there will be people of all religions, from all nations and all walks of life. There is only one God, and He is worshipped in many churches and religions.
Your preacher is wrong.
It says in the Bible, that if you believe and have been saved, you will have your place in heaven with God, it doesn't mention which religion that applies to, it is a promise made to ALL mankind.

Heaven and Hell are real. "religion" is man's way to God "Christianity" is God's way for man to Him through Jesus Christ. A Pastor i used to sit under once said ' The first thing Jesus is gonna do when He comes back is tear down and burn up ALL the church signs!"
