A true Christian, no. Many false Christians do all sorts of devilish, ungodly things.
Be sure to distinguish properly so you don't label the truly loving, god-fearing, true Christians as the false ones who do behave in such a debauched manner.

To me, if someone says they are a Christian, they are a real Christian. I'll let the Christians fight out over the details.
Christianity IS a religion. Twist it any way you like, play the fundamentalist semantics game, but Christianity is a religion.
And yes, I get told that all the time. It's a comforting feeling in Mississippi "You're going to hell!"

I have heard people who CLAIM to be "real" Christians say this many times, and even to encourage their children to say this to people. I know very little about Christianity, but I do know that a "real" Christian would never say this. I am an Atheist but I know many people are "real" Christians and are very loving and faithful and "judge not lest they be---"--so I know this is not something they would ever say to a fellow human being under any circumstance.

No, but I've had them tell me I'm going to Hell for not being "saved". That's just as judgmental and insulting as far as I'm concerned.
(How do I know he was a "real Christian"? He was Pastor of an Assembly of God Church, that's how I know!)

I've seen it happen many many times on this forum by professed Christians and it saddens me, however I leave the judgment of whether or not they are real Christians up to God.

well how many of us are realistically gonna go to heaven?
all we're doing by saying "go to hell" is telling people to go where they're gonna end up anyway. whether it be a christian a jew or an atheist, by saying those three words we're just pointing out where most people are gonna go.

I've given up on trying to distinguish the 'true' Christians from the fake ones.
(Some of the ones that are condemning us would probably say that you're not a 'true' Christian).
