First of all, how old is your dog? If it is a pup it may be that he has just stopped growing so fast and you can cut down on the amount or times you feed him daily.

If it is an older dog, I would certainly have your vet check him out, especially if you notice any other signs, like lack of energy, lack of alertness, dull eyes, not drinking water (and yes, check the feces...), but it may be a minor appetite thing and he may bounce back soon.

If you are considering changing foods, be sure to do it slowly. Add 25% new food to the old and gradually increase the percentage of old and decrease the percentage of old.

Have you been feeding her "people" food? A lot of what we eat is toxic to dogs. The throwing up probably does not have anything to do with the limping or trouble getting up. That could be arthritis or a hip displacement. I have a dog that is 8 years old and she had the same problem with throwing up and my vet gave her pills that made a coating for her stomach that I had to dissolve and give her with a syringe. It took a couple of days but she got better. There are so many things that could be wrong so she really needs to see a vet. If she has thrown up that much she needs fluids from the vet because she will be dehydrated. But you need to understand that just like us dogs get sick and you should not think the worst when it happens, just give her the best care you can. I hope your dog gets better soon.

It could be a variety of things. If your dog is getting older, say, hitting around a year, he probably will not be growing as much because he's no longer a puppy. He wont' need as much food.

He could be losing interest in his food, maybe try gradually switching to a different flavor of the same brand?

Loss of appetite could also be the first sign of illness. Like others on here, I would say keep a careful eye on him, and if he begins to get lethargic, call your vet.

Good luck!

Is he drinking water normally? Dogs (like humans) can go without food for several days, but not nearly as long without water. If he's drinking and otherwise acting normal, then I wouldn't be too worried... just keep an eye on him. If the loss of appetite last for days, I'd have the vet check him.

A) There's no such breed.
B) Your mixed pup could be having an off day. If the decreased appetite continues for more than two days, you should take him to the vet.
