I wanted to ask, is 7-9 year olds to young to have a BoyFriend?

no i think its cute that u have a chrush but don't get serious cause then u are 2 young.

Well, as we adults know it yes, but in the child's mind they are just buddies. Ask a lot of questions about what they think a boyfriend and girlfriend is. I freaked with my Son too, as he wanted to buy a girlfriend in the 4th grade a Gold Necklace REAL GOLD mind you. I talked to him about his idea and concept of girlfriend, and was relieved. However, his 14k gold neckchain that I had given him for his birthday became unbeknownst to me her Christmas present.....I was hurt and pissed and insisted he get it back. Well, we never saw that gift again, and that girlfriend did last for almost a year. Her name was written all over his stuff. The most at his age was holding hands, and only sometimes, and sitting together at recess, and lunch recess. More like good friends.

I think it is. When my daugher was that young, I didn't think it was a big deal. My thinking was, what are they gonna do? They can't go anyhere together.
However, I think now, that the earlier they get started, the more they want to experience more. Having it to do all over again, i would say no to the boyfriend until about 12 or 13.

Ya, that is way to young. The age is getting ounger and younger now, so who knows...I have a friend who has a daughter who is 9 and i know she has had multiple boyfriends. I, personally think it is too young though

Yes, my little brother is in this age group and he doesn't understand what a girlfriend is in that way. They might say the words, but rarely do they understand what is involved.

that would be in your own opinion. do you have morals? are you allowed to have a boyfriend? you probably should talk to your parents before doing anything just to be safe.
