Yes he was, he was a faithful Jew. All Jewish babies had this done and still do till this day.

And when eight days were completed for the circumcision of the Child, His name was called Jesus, the name given by the angel before He was conceived in the womb. (Luke 2:21)

Yes, every indication is that he was circumcised. The Christian scriptures relate his being taken to the Temple on the eighth day after his birth. The eighth day after birth is the day on which Jewish male infants are circumcised and given their names, so it is reasonable that this was the purpose for the trip to the Temple.

Yes, he was. The gospel of Luke refers to Joseph and Mary going to the temple on the eighth day. They went for the two ceremonial customs that had to follow childbirth: circumcision and the purification ceremony for postpartum women.

It was done on the eighth day, because of Jewish tradition, and we don't know who did it. We do know that an old man named Simeon saw the baby and realized that he was God's salvation.

These answers crack me up. I wonder if Christians ever even READ their bibles.

Yes he was, as was, and is, the custom for most jews. As for who, anyone who knows is long dead. Why? Circumsision is considered a pact with god, an aknowledgement of the covenenant between god and the jews.
