My freezer is sealed and its freezer, becuase its a huge basment one. No one took it at all.

Dry ice has to be kept at 109F below zero not to evaporate.

Dry ice evaporates much quicker than real ice because your freezer does not get down to -109.00 the temp at wich Carbon Dioxide turns solid.

Next time you must purchase it just before use.

It is DRY ICE not ice. It doesn't stick around just because you stuck it in the refrigerator. It is carbon dioxide in a solid state and would require a temperature MUCH lower than your refrigerator is capable of in order to last more than a few hours.

We did the same thing last year on Halloween. This year we put it in a styrofoam cooler and it held up fine. But get it at the last minute.
