(I am going to leave my beliefs completely out of this and make sure I don't make it obvious what I believe pertaining to God and religion and whatnot because it is not relevant to this question)
Since time began, society, people, whoever it was that roamed the earth questioned where they came from. Wondered how they got there, how people came to exist. As time progressed, as peoples minds began to evolve, and especially after the Englightenment in the 1700s when people began actually thinking for themselves, they became more open-minded about God and religion.
People started to see God as someone to look up to, as someone that they could put everything they had into. Their time, money, trust, love.
When people wanted something, they're pray. When loved ones got sick, people prayed. People put SO much of themselves into God that God became part of their life, even if they'd never met him, or seen him. It was their faith that kept them going.
When people blame God it's because of that time, energy, love, money, and faith that they put into Him. They felt betrayed and would think, "How come I gave so much to Him, but all He did was take away from me?" With destruction and evil, most Christians believe that God is putting human beings to a 'test'. A test of faith. That when terrible things happen, it's God testing your faith, even if you didn't deserve the terrible things that happened.
So, basically people felt betrayed, that believing in Him was a waste of time because He never gave them anything in return.
Hope this helped, even though I rambled on quite a bit! :)

It is easier to blame God, than blame oneself. With all the new technology and knowledge we have, you would think we could address the problems of thie world better than we are. We just are not willing to do the hard, and painful work required or make the necessary sacrifices. We just love our comfortable life style too much, and choose to blame God, rather than take on the burden ourselves.

i understand approximately God. God is the author of the Universe. however the Universe isn't a suited place. in simple terms think of of ways Earth replaced into created the way it particularly is made, and what's occurring all the time interior the Earth. All dem tectonic plates, by way of fact the lady says. and of direction there are all the climate varieties, too, which contain the air shifting around. and then there is the Earth's going around the solar. and solar spots. and the lean of the Earth. And gravity and the sturdy and the vulnerable atomic forces... and all the climate, and the better components having all started in exploding stars. yet besides, God brought about existence to strengthen in the international and for guy to at last evolve. of direction, the eastern did no longer understand approximately tectonic plates while they began residing on the little Island of Japan, which, while they first began residing there could have regarded fairly enormous. That replaced into till now God created airplanes, do no longer forget. I mean, God created airplanes through guy coming up airplanes. besides, the persons then did no longer understand that Japan is sweet on exact of the hoop of hearth. And it replaced right into a sturdy place to stay, fairly in case you prefer to fish. So issues in simple terms circulate alongside, and circulate alongside, and God is discovering and evolving all the time. yet i think of he/it/she/them nonetheless does not understand the thank you to create of ball of land that has no failures inherent in it. I mean, what do you think of, that God is suited? lol! Sorry that i'm no longer precisely addressing the question approximately "blaming God." you will discover I even have an concept of God which does no longer incorporate "blaming."

I agree that people blame God because he planed out our lives.........BUT.......we made the choice to follow the path he set for us because we thought it would be easier so its our fault.
I also think because we dont want to take the responsiablitay for our actiouns so we blame him!
And for your info Christy VT, We dont blame satan for anything! if you are a true christian you dont blame him!
I also agree with holy holly on the fact the christians believe themselfs non sinners when in fact that no one in the world but God and Jesus are with out sin

Because god not only gave people free will but he also, being omnipotent and omniscient, has every persons life already planned out for them. Destiny negates free will and free will negates destiny, so in the end it is all gods fault for not being able to get his facts straight.

I dont, but i think that some people find him as an "exuse", and use him because he can not argue with them. God is someone who people can blame for everything, and not have to come face-to-face with about it.

If you look at some of the more fundamentalist answers God gets the credit for the good things so why not the bad if he is supposedly the creator?

Because some believe that God is responsible somehow for every action because he has to "allow" everything to happen.

Most people believe they are "good" and if something bad happens it couldn't have been their fault.
I might mention, a majority of Christians are surveyed as considering themselves not to be sinners.
