Even if that validated torturing a human being (which it doesn't), how do you know that we are torturing a terrorist if there is no due process, no habeas corpus and no words but whatever they say to avoid more torture?

What if they come for you next?

pleasuregui: how is my question dishonest? At what point do you decide that this person will give information that is needed to prevent an attack? And let's talk about that information. How reliable do you think that info is going to be?

Not so quick. You have twisted the situation into something it is not. AND, you know it. That makes you dishonest, plain and simple.
Torture will certainly get information. Only a fool would try to use torture to get someone to admit to a crime. However, if you torture the guy and he says "You will find the bomb over there." Then you go over there and sure enough there is the bomb, then absolutely it worked.
Do I support TORTURE? Absolutely, if it is done to the people who do not go by the Geneva Conventions. If they are the enemy who cuts off innocent people's heads, uses suicide bombers, and kills children intentionally. You better Hong Kong believe I support torture, and I am not talking about water boarding. I am talking here, burning cigarettes, ants, water torture, and red hot pokers. Then send them to Allah all slathered up in pork fat.

The collective ignorance of the American public in recognizing the moral implications of torturing people without any evidence has created a supermassive blackhole over Langley that has torn the fabric of the universe open, allowing all-knowing spirits through into the physical manifest realm to point our CIA interrogators to the true terrorists. Duh.

Define terrorist...

(user "Tip" defends its use but can't manage to spell Al-Qaeda)

We don't even know who we are trying to kill anymore... and then when we think we figured it out... here come more of them.

Does anyone else have a problem with trying to make peace with at least one nation?
We seriously need a friend at this point and we can't get any by waterboarding people....

Even those who maintain their innocence will admit being a terrorist after torture. Put your Granny on the Bush torture machine and presto, another terrorist.

were the folks at Wacco Muslims?

you can't just throw the laws to the side one moment and expect the same laws to protect you later... it doesn't work like that...

and isn't how many times they've used waterboarding top secret? they've used it three times that they've declassified...

trusting the government with your rights is a tricky situation...

Waterboarding ( I am assuming this is what you are refering to) has only been used three times in the past 6 years and all three have been used on known leadership of Al Qieda

Lets review.

These nuts from these terrorists states want all of us DEAD. They gleefully strap bombs to themselves and blow up bus loads of children so they can get their 72 virgins.

And you call them 'human beings'?

I do not care WHAT the Government has to do to them. If it saves a single American life... and our way of life.
