I think sometimes they do. Haven't figured out what though. One Night I drempt of a very close childhood friend, whom I haven't heard from or seen in years. The next morning I recieved a call from him ,and he said the reason he called was because he had drempt of me the night before! The same night, and almost the exact same dream! That was just one of many strange dreams that I have had, that has come true.Another one was ,I had drempt that there was going to be an earth quake (quite large) after midnight the next night. I was so disturbed by this,I told my sister about it and my concern of the magnatude. She told me it was only a dream, and finally my fear of one occuring faided. Well, low and behold ,I was awakened early next morning by my sister trying to get me out of the bed and into the hallway where we go when there is a big earthquake. That paticulr earthquake is known today as the Northridge Quake and still is the biggest quake I have ever been through, and the most damaging one. Go figure.

Sometimes they don't have meanings, sometimes dreams are used to sort out the stresses of real-life dilemmas, and sometimes are used to predict near future.
Dreams have meanings, and sometimes they don't have meanings and are not meant to be interpreted. You just got to be selective of what, when, and if or not you take a dream seriously.
I will tell you an example of predicting the future: I had moved downstate after a painful parting ways with a companion. Some weeks later, while struggling to get passed the lost friendship, I saw him in my dream. I saw him at a job where he and my nephew's mother work at (he was friends with her for years before I met him). We had a civil conversation, and it ended with him saying, I cannot remember the exact words, but the main idea was he was glad I found happiness. I woke up from the dream with my arms in the air. A few days later, I was informed by my nephew's mother that he wanted to resume our friendship again. I was surprised, as I thought he wanted me out of his life for good. But now I'm the one thinking to end the friendship, but he's slowly improving. He doesn't know I'm trying to severe ties, but I'll give it more time to see if it's truly necessary.
Another one is I had a dream in high school where I was outside the school, calling for a friend as he was driving off. I found myself doing the same thing in real-life later.
I'm not saying take ALL your dreams seriously. But sometimes there's meaning and symbolism behind it.

sometimes dreams are manifisations of our feelings. a self revelation projected through our subconscious mind.
other times they are messages from sources outside of our being. our minds. those sources can be a person using some form or telepathy. or an entity unknown to us. something not known by the human race. perhaps an angel. a spirit. or space aliens? i know there are cases when dead people appear in our dreams.
and then there are dreams with divine messages from God. there are alot of references to dreams in the bible. it seems to be Gods choice of communication sometimes. for example, Joseph dremt future events.
whatever the cause of the dream may be...they always have a message to them. there is always a reason why. and they have meaning no matter how random that dream may seem. but we should never let dreams totally guide our life cus dreams dont always provide an answer. a dream can just be a reflection of thoughts and feelings. unless we want to go with how we feel. but you would be responcible for your own outcome. anyway...thats my answer.

Do you think your thoughts have a meaning? Do you think your feelings have a meaning? Of course they have! First you need to be aware of them, observing them and then ask yourself what has triggered the thoughts and feelings. These are reactions, a response of your system to something that came to you. Asking yourself about it, then you might find out about it and you will also understand the meaning of it.
The same with your dreams, in which are reflected your unconscious reactions. You can observe these, without judging and then the 'meaning' might open up to you. But don't force any thing or go too much into it, relax about it and just let it happen. - And go on asking...

I think all dreams give us answers to the things in awake life that we do not address. My dreams if I pay attention to them let me know what is about ot go on in my family or that is going to happen to my. You have to have an understanding and ability to read into them. They are not all meaning less and useless. that is my take on it. Try paying attention to what they are and see if you cannot pick out what they mean to you based on your life and happenings past and present. I have had good luck in doing this and being able to know some of what is about to go on in a day or two's time. Sometimes it comes to me after the going on has gone on that that is what the dream was that I could not figure out right then and there too. Intuitive is what it is also called. Listen to your gut instincts, as they usually do not lie and usually lead you in the right direction too. Good Luck and hope this is of some help to you! Happy Holidays!

Dreams are like wandering thoughts. Most of the time the thoughts that enter your head are BS but occasionally a thought may enter your mind that makes you stop and think.
I can't quite explain why dreams seem to bring those thoughts out in the most bizarre form but it might have something to do with the whole right brain/ left brain thing.

Yes and no, dreams having meaning is a rather gray area. Sometimes they may have some meaning like expressing some desire for a certain object or person. And other time you're just dreaming about random things.

I think they can. I think dreams that are set in the future are kind of hints whats gonna happen. I've dreamt i've died a few times but obviously that was more of a nightmare. But the good dreams I reckon they like set a path with doors and in each door will be stuff that could happen, or just stuff you'll walk straight past.
