My daughter's 14 months and she hasn't had a morning nap in months. I know my son napped in the morning until he was much older, but I can't remember how old he was when he gave it up. Just wondering what age would be the average.

At 12 months, my son would take a morning nap but would no longer take an afternoon nap. I moved his morning nap slowly to noontime and he had one long nap a day. This is very normal for this age. I have many friends with kids and they all went to one nap a day shortly after turning one.

My 2yo twin boys gave up napping at about 14 months, but at 20 months they decided to start taking an hours nap after lunch. They still do, I like it because I can do those things that take 3 hours with them in 5 minutes LOL :)

I have 3 children and it varies, but usually between 2 1/2 and 4. Younger than 2 1/2 NEED these naps, for growth and for Mommy too!!
