At one time, they used to make the end where you could buy just the end and splice it to the cord! Just like you fix an electrical cord! You had two wires, and you tied or soldered the two wires to the input device! I haven't seen them in years so I don't know if they still sell them at the music stores!

You can always buy a new replacement end if you have a soldering gun. They even have one that you shove the wire in and it just screws on, but depending on the cord, it isn't always one hundred percent reliable. It's like having a pair of cheap shoes though. They might look okay, but you never know how long they are going to last, and they end up making your feet sweat or worse. You will be better off replacing the cord in the long run. I know that you don't have much money right now, but there is always something you can do for someone that is worth something. Get busy and do it, then pick up two cords. That way you won't be in a panic when the next one goes!

I think your not gonna straighten that guitar jack plug. Good news is they are really cheap. Like a couple of bucks.
