im 15 and i have 2 bad knees my right one i had a pretty bad bone bruise that lasted about 6 months one a few years ago and the left is just bad.
i play softball and soccer.
im a catcher for softball which i know isnt a good idea but i love it! and soccer isnt that bad on my knees (is shouldnt b should it?) it only is when i move wrong. And to make sure we (softball team) stay in shape for softball my coach is having us already working out for next season so im wondering is running stairs a good idea saying i already have bad knees

I'm assuming you say you have bad knees because they hurt. However there's a big difference between bad knees from bone bruise vs ACL damage. An orthopedic MD would probably help in this regard, but if you won't do that, then for the meantime get off the stairs and go to something with less weight bearing. I suggest an eliptical machine which has a similar running motion.

I'm afraid you're going to find that not only would that be bad, but your choice of sport is, too. As active as you are, it's not likely that your knee problems have anything to do with not being fit, but rather previous injuries. Anything high impact, like running, not even on stairs, is going to contribute to the problem. You might consider switching to the swim team. That's very low impact and would even be good for your knees.

WOW! At your tender age you are already in a world of hurt and there is only more where that came from. You'll be needing knee replacement surgery by the time you're 30! You should have an orthopedic surgeon advise you on your knee's current health/damage and prognosis.

I think it would be ok but i think it would be uncomfortable after a while, you should try out a stepping block or one of those fancy little machines, they are easy on the knees and cost less than a monthly fee for going to the gym or buying the actual stairmaster. If playing all those sports isn't uncomfortable or cause you pain, that means any pain at all, you should stop.

Not real smart. Make sure you get some support on your knees when your active in sports. You can buy braces and supports at drug stores and medical stores. Having a knee rebuilt is not fun, believe me I type from experience.

This doesn't sound like it may be the best thing for you. Aren't you required to have a physical at the begining of every season? Bring this up to your doctor during that time & see what he/she says.

Do about 10 minutes of stretching before and after you exercise, if it hurts, try something a little easier like walking

Have a doctor and/or PT look at your knees - there may be more damage than you are aware. The PT will give you exercises and stretches.

Take it easy a little longer and then have your knees checked out by a trainer.
