I wake up in the morning & i'm fine. Got stuffed up nose but after a blow i'm normal, however as the day wears on after 7 o'clock I start getting all these cold symptoms: Sore dry throat, shivery, sneezy & runny nose & sore itchy ears like right in the middle!. What is this all about I can't have a night time cold?

Don't worry, you are not alone. There's a virus doing the rounds that doesn't produce much in the way of symptoms until late.

You have eustacian tube dysfunction....or in plain English, the tubes that connect your nose to your middle ear are all stuffed up. You might even have fluid or infection in the middle ear. The first step is a strong nasal decongestant like afrin (read cautions first) and hot steam vapor (such as the vicks personal steamer) If over the counter doesn't open up the ears (they should pop and then the pressure should equalize) then go to your family doc. Specialist is not needed at this point, so ENT not an issue.

Coughs and colds are always worse first thing in the morning and last thing at night for some reason. Dose up on Lemsip and try to sleep with a couple of pillows proping you up to allow you to breath better. Get well soon

no such thing as a night cold... you are definitely allergic to something..what are your surroundings when you start to feel ill.... how long does it last and I would keep a journal to keep track of times and symtoms.... it might be a mold you are allergic to...

once you've had the cold for 232 times you wont get it anymore

each time you get a cold its a different virus entering your body, your body builds immunities to them and after your cold you become immune to that cold.
