The second law of thermodynamics states that the amount of energy in a system that is available to do work is decreasing. Entropy increases as available energy decreases. In other words, the purely natural tendency of things is to move toward chaos, not order, and available energy necessary for work is lost (mostly as heat) in this process. Eventually, the universe will run down and all life and motion will cease. This is the natural tendency of all things. Batteries run down, machines break, buildings crumble, roads decay, living things die, etc. Left to the natural state, all things would eventually cease to function.
1. The universe is not infinitely old because it has not "run down."
1. If the universe were infinitely old, it would have reached a state where all usable energy is gone.
2. But, we are not in this state; therefore, the universe is not infinitely old and must have had a beginning.
2. Because the universe has had a beginning it is not infinite in size.
1. It would require an infinite amount of time to become infinite in size. Since the universe had a beginning, it has not had an infinite amount of time to expand; therefore, it is finite in size.
3. All events have causes.
1. There cannot be an infinite regress of events because that would mean the universe were infinitely old.
1. We've already established the universe cannot be infinitely old.
2. If it were infinitely old, the universe would be in a state of unusable energy, which it is not.
3. If it were infinitely old, the universe would be infinitely large, which it is not.
4. Since the universe is finite and had a beginning and there cannot be an infinite number of regressions of causes to bring it into existence, there must be a single uncaused cause of the universe.
1. A single uncaused cause of the universe must be greater in size and duration than the universe it has brought into existence.
1. Otherwise, we have the uncaused cause bringing into existence something greater than or equal to itself.
2. Any cause that is natural to the universe is part of the universe.
1. An event that is part of the universe cannot cause itself to exist.
2. Therefore, there must be an uncaused cause outside the universe.
3. An uncaused cause cannot be a natural part of the universe which is finite.
1. An uncaused cause would be infinite in both space and time since it is greater than which it has caused to exist.
4. An uncaused cause would be separate from the universe.
1. Being separate from the universe, which was caused to be, it would not be subject to the laws of the universe since it existed independent of the universe and its laws.
2. This would mean that entropy need not be required of the uncaused cause.
5. This uncaused cause is supernatural.
1. By supernatural is meant completely 'other' than the universe and is not the product of it.
1. This uncaused cause must be incredibly powerful to bring the universe into existence.
6. The Bible teaches that God is uncaused, is not part of the universe, created the universe, and is incredibly powerful.
1. God's existence (in Christianity) is not an event, but a state.
2. Psalm 90:2 says that God is God without a beginning.
3. This means that God is uncaused.
7. Therefore, the God of the Bible is the uncaused cause of the universe.

Maybe the reason that God has so many names, and is described as so many different things, is convey that whatever you think of God as being, that is what God is for you...
Thus, for the individuals who do not believe there is a god... God is that belief.
I believe God is the great "Am." Meaning that, in my opinion, God is not some "white bearded guy up in the clouds" who judges me in every moment; but rather, God is the sum of everything there is... The energy that sustains life and is in everything, no matter what label you choose.
So, when an individual looks for proof of God, they may just find that proof. But, to try and show that proof to an individual who is looking for the exact opposite will do no good. In fact, that proof may even be further justification, to the other, of the exact opposite.
We get what we believe.

Proof and faith are opposite.
Proof = that which shows that something is a fact.
Faith = trust.
As you can see faith is daring the soul to go beyond what the eyes can see. You will figure sooner or later that God does exist. Nevertheless, He will never show up the way we think or want. Therefore, nobody would "proof" His existence the way you are waiting for.

The existence or non-existence of God cannot be proved or disproved scientifically. At best we can cite certain scientific laws and theories (big bang, second law of thermodynamics, DNA etc.), which indicate the existence of God. There can be no scientific proof, simply because God is not physical or material. He is spiritual and infinite.
But if we broaden our notion of science to include knowledge of things that we get from observing their effects on other things, then God can be known from science.
It is a doctrine of the Church that faith does not come to us through reason alone, but by the grace of God. If a person opposes even the possibility of God's existence, then any arguments or evidence can be rationalized away.
I believe in a personal God from personal experience. It is like faith, hope and love. We know they are true but we cannot prove them concretely. It is the same thing with God. I feel his presence in the situations and circumstances I find myself in. That's how God communicates to me. I also know God loves me through the blessings (in the form of opportunities) he gives me. That's how I know God exists. I don’t need any concrete proof.
Open you heart, mind, and soul to God’s grace and you too will find Him.

Have you ever looked at a building and wondered how it got there? No, you know there was a builder. Ever looked at a painting and thought that it probably just appeared on its own? No, there was a painter. This world is too complex and too perfect to be just a coincidence.
People are born with the knowledge of God in their hearts - it's called the difference between right and wrong. Also known as the 10 commandments.
Reading God's word (the Bible) with an open mind and open heart is the only way to get to know Him. You must ask Him, with a sincere hope and desire to know Him and He will reveal Himself to you.

Yes. God has sent down miracles, revelations and messengers to give clear proofs He exists and more important, what we should do once we come to this realization.
God has sent prophets and messengers with many proofs throughout the ages for people to be able to clearly see with their own eyes and to be able to use their own senses the miracles and proofs pointing to the fact, God does in fact, exist.
Miracles of prophets and messengers of God have come to people through the ages. Moses, peace be upon him, showed many miracles to pharoah and to the children of Israel. Plagues, locusts, water turning to blood, his stick becoming a snake, the voice in the burning bush and the parting of the Red Sea were are clear miracles for the people of Moses time.
Again, God sent Jesus, the son of Mary, peace be upon him, with clear miracles for the people of his time. Speaking from the cradle while still a new born infant, creating birds from clay, curing the sick, giving sight to the blind and even bringing a dead man back to life, were all clear signs to the people to know Jesus, peace be upon him, was a messenger of God as was Moses before him.
Muhammad, peace be upon him, was the last and final messenger of God, and he was sent to all of mankind. God sent him with a number of miracles, not the least of which was the Quran. The predictions and prophecies of Muhammad, peace be upon him, have come true even in this century and the Quran has been used to convince even scientists of the existence of Allah.
[Please visit "Science Proves Allah": Watch video of famous scientists admit Quran is from God and even accept Islam]
The Quran is the best of proofs for the existence of God and today over one and half billion people memorize and recite from the exact text, in the exact same language it was revealed in; Arabic. More than 10 million Muslims have completely memorized the entire Quran from cover to cover, and can recite it from memory without looking at it.
No one sees or hears God, not even the prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. Nor are we able to use our senses to make some kind of contact with Him. However, we are encouraged in Islam to use our senses and our common sense to recognize this entire universe could not possibly come into existence on its own. Something had to design it all and then put it into motion. This is beyond our ability to do, yet it is something we can understand.
We know from the teachings of Muhammad, peace be upon him, the proofs for the existence of God (Allah) are most obvious to us in our everyday surroundings. Anyone with understanding would quickly acknowledge His existence provided they are not so stubborn as to ignore the obvious evidences in front right in front of us.
We don't have to see an artist to recognize a painting, correct? So, if we see paintings without seeing artists painting them, in the same way, we can believe Allah created everything without having to see Him (or touch, or hear, etc.).

You mean...."What IS the proof?"
Not..."What ARE the proof?"
Sorry, but incorrect grammar bothers me.....
There is no proof that God does exist, just as there is no proof that Ther Big Bang is true....Just as there is no proof that there is no God....

Which god? Zeus? The Romans named a planet after Zeus. That means Zeus is real because Jupiter is real. Seriously, contact your local meteorologist and ask when Zeus will be visible, and when you finally see it, there is the proof.
