It is different sized. Not necessary bigger, just different.

Std King is 76" wide x 80" long

Cali King is 72" wide x 84" long

Flat king sheets fit both beds. Fitted king sheets must be the correct size!

Yes it sure is. A california king bed is one size up from a regular king size so of course the comforter is going to be bigger as well.

A king size mattress is a few inches wider than a California king, but the California king is a few inches longer.
