Concentrate on the children. I've given up hope on most Christian adults. If they haven't expressed an interest in researching their beliefs before they reach adulthood, then they probably never will.
It has been my experience that the difference between a believer and a non-believer is not how much knowledge he has. It's about a simple choice of whether or not to question and critically examine what you're told.
Believers absolutely will not question their religion, even though they say they do. When the hard questions come, they will refuse to answer.
If they did, they would become atheists/agnostics, eventually. This is the choice that some make, and some don't.
Edit - for the record, this question never said anything about forcing anything on these children, or taking them from their parents. It's asking should we TALK to them about religion, seeing as how the adults refuse to do so...

Boy, it would be great if we Americans lived in a free country. But we don't, not when people can take away the children of others and for lies and deceipt. That kind of hatred shouldn't be allowed to run rampant through this country, but it has seemed to find a way. The beliefs of an individual should be respected no matter what religion they come from. And they shouldn't be tracked down like animals because they are a mother alone trying to raise her children, or have any other indoctrination thrown at her to try to make her feel guilty of something that she is not. And an innocent person shouldn't be treated like a criminal, but this country seems to know how to do that only too well. They just let the bad lead the pack while mostly the good people fall by the wayside. Without recourse.

Is there much hope for adult athiests of ever being completely rehabilitated? or is it too late for them? Would it be more constructive to concentrate upon their children,to either free them or provide them with a means of maintaining their natural curiosity and spiritual nature before the trauma of the atheist indoctrination process enslaves them?
I gather you feel that Christians should have their children taken away from them. This means you do not believe in freedom of expression, freedom of religion, basic human rights or the best interests of children. You sound like a Stalinist and I really think you belong in another sort of country. Americans believe in freedom of thought.

Is there any hope that you will ever let go of all your hate and anger and show some common decency?
Or is it too late for you? Would it be better to concentrate on helping your children be freed from your indoctrination of prejudice and bigotry?
IS it abuse for you to drill hate into them and encourage them to be as militant as you are? IS it child abuse for you to teach them to belittle people who do not share their beliefs?
I have never seen the most fundamental Christian be more racist than you are.
Please don't fill your little children's minds with the hate that is in your heart. It's not fair to them.

Now I rarely get offended but your question is highly offensive to me...you do not have to agree with my beliefs in any way, shape or form...but to state that I require rehabilitation or that my child needs to be freed from the beliefs I might share with them simply because I believe something you do not is extremely offensive to me....
As a soon to be mother I am more offended than as a Christian woman because I know that I will have to release my child into such a bitter, hateful world one day.
Lord have mercy on us all!!

You're not saying anything that hasn't already been said by Marx, Lenin, Stalin, Pol Pot or Mao. They died. Christianity predated them, and is still going strong.

Its interesting that when Christians create and run countriesm, they give religious freedom to all.
Yet you want to take freedom away from Christians?
What is wrong with you? That's my question.

I realize that you are being sarcastic, but if Christianity was so traumatic, then why would anyone choose to remain a Christian, or better yet, actually convert as an adult?

It is a mental illness with little or no hope for recovery.
Even rehabilitating Christians have a higher relapse rate than "rehabilitated" child molesters.
Stage an intervention and get them to agree to go into rehab to be deprogrammed.
They are a danger to themselves and others.
