My parents didn't put any beliefs on us. They actually encouraged us to look at all beliefs, but only so we'd know them and not really to be religious because they aren't religious people. While studying Jesus, I decided to become Christian.

I was raised Catholic by two lapsed Catholics (one an athiest, the other disenchanted with the church). My parents are very open minded and my mother (the disenchanted one) especially encouraged me to think about religion. The priest was not pleased.
These days I kind of do my own thing, where I try to follow the teachings of Jesus (and several others), but I'm not actually what could be termed a Christian. And I'm trying to reconcile that with the part of me that is still very much Catholic inside.

A bit of both. My parents were both Christians (only mom is still around), and I was raised in the church...but I had always been skeptical, and I became an atheist when I was thirteen.
I became a Christian for the first time a year ago, at the age of twenty-five.

I was raised (until age 12) as a Christian (non-denominational). Then we were without religion. I chose to become Roman Catholic 2 years ago.

I was raised United Methodist, my parents met through attending church. It was a big part of my life until I was 30; singing in the church choir ever since I could stand up and open my mouth, lol. Now I am not so interested in being a member of a chuch, but my faith continues to grow.

My parents are Catholic so I was raised going to church every Sunday and going to Catholic school through 8th grade. When I was 18-20 I started thinking about life's purpose. I was still going to Mass. I would feel closer to God when I was in nature than when I was in the cold, echo-y, cavernous church.
So, I started asking God to reveal Himself to me. It took a few years of pain until I was on my knees in my bedroom, screaming at Him that I was sick of not finding Him and that I was gonna open the Bible one last time and if it didn't make sense to me, I was never gonna open it again. I opened it randomly and read the parable of the sower and the seed and I knew that I knew that I knew God was saying I'VE BEEN HERE, I'VE BEEN THROWING "SEED' AT YOU. I'M TRYING, YER DENYIN'. STOP SEARCHING AND JUST BE.
And after that, "coincidentally" someone invited me to a non denominational church and the rest, as they say, is history!
