I believe that he is referring to the fact that if you don't have a desire to see others find Christ than you couldn't have Christ in you.

Note the word "wish". A Christian who looks forward to the destruction of his enemies is not a true Christian. But this does not mean that one should impose one's particuliar idea of "salvation" on others against their will. We are none of us certain we have all the answers. We can only witness the love of God by our own example, not by demanding a standard of moral performance that we can't possibly meet ourselves. Salvation acts as love does. We don't buy and sell it. We live it. If "salvation" becomes a thing to possess, we've lost it and can hardly offer it to others.

If you don't care about the salvation of others, you have no Holy Spirit in you. It is the Holy Spirit that is moving you to spread the Gospel, not you or your good intentions.
"No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light." Luke 11:33

It means if you can't wish good upon someone, and especially for them to be saved and miss hells rath. Then your not a Christian and you are decieved by the devil into thinking you are. A true honest good Christian feels hurt, pity, and hope and wishes above all, that everyone would be saved from their sins and miss hell.

Part of your walk with the lord is to be more christ like. To reach people for the kindom of heaven and tell others about God. The only way to get into heaven is to accept Jesus Christ as your savior and to gain a relationship with him. If you have no desire to save those you love by telling them about the lord, then how much of a relationship do you truely have with him?

That's true. It is also true that some people will never accept the Message. You can not drag them kicking and screaming to God. By being to determined to save someone you can actually drive people away. It is God that saves, we just deliver the Message.

It could refer to the fact that if you are not concerned with attempting to save the lost ones around yourself that perhaps you are indeed one of the lost souls?

Means I am wasting my time sifting through this board looking for a good question, when I could be in my litter box contemplating my navel.

I think what he is saying is that if you do hope for, pray for, the salvation of others, than you do not fully grasp the suffering that awaits those who are lost, and the glory that awaits those whom God calls.
