You're wearing a lip stud and you're talking about health? Talk to your dentist, please.
There are many different kinds of "medicine". Some are based on ignorance and superstition. Some have real knowledge behind them. Most are a mix. And "belief" has a lot to do with how your preferred "medicine" works. The Western pharmacological model is very effective but far from perfect. I don't believe in avoiding them for religious reasons, but neither do I think they have everything figured out.
No conscious, rational person should be forced to undergo a medical procedure against their will, even if it is "unhealthy". (Dependents are a different matter.)

Of course not...ALL healing is from God,,,whether he decides to heal you in a miraculous way for his Glory or uses a Doctor as an instrument of healing.....I have no problem at al with going to the Doctor, but I do pray for healing at the same time...I don't think it shows lack of faith....God may know how my healing will come about, but I don't....so I pray and I go to the Doctor...
There are a few churches who believe to the point of letting someone die,,,I feel they are misguided but my heart goes out to them...I do understand why they would do it..
Edited to say: Those who think because you eat right, exercise and meditate, that you won't get a chronic or fatal disease,,,need to come off your high horse....I did all those things and have a rare disorder that came out of nowhere and has no cure....just count your blessings but don't think it can't happen to you....it can and does happen..

That is what you call Extremists.
Many people forget God works through people.
That Woman probably had several warnings to go to the doctor.
And God was going to work through the doctors to cure her.
People think well thats a act of faith, but Actually it is a act of misguided faith.
If you read the bible you will see that God uses his work through people, for example he spoke through his prophets.
He Used Nature to make the Exodus plagues happen.
He used Cruel Kings to his will. it is the same God uses people to help others. I believe God probably did want to save her life. but she refused the signs from him. He would of worked through the doctors.

i dont. I do know that the religous group "jehovah's witnesses" do not believe in blood products, like transfusions. and to some people, maybe to them dying would be a cure, so that they san be in hevean (or similar representational place) and not have to worry about cancer or whatever.

It depends on the belief. But most likely NO. I'm smart enough to know that god won't save me. (I'm non religious) but if god were going to save me then why would he make me sick in the first place?

No, I meditate, eat healthy, do mind-body exercises, and don't overindulge. My beliefs support a strong body, a strong mind, and a strong spirit. They all work together.
