You will get alcohol poisoning and die before you drown. But water, yes.

yes i live on a lake and have helped pull people out of the water that have fallen off a boat and drown from having to much to drink. they may not have even been drunk either. some people drown on their own vomit in their sleep after drinking

I've heard of drowning in your own vomit because your throwing up from being hammered and don't wake up. Usually mixed w/"other" substances this usually occurs.

I've also heard if your kidneys aren't functioning properly you could poison yourself w/too much water in your system.

No - you don't drown from drinking too much (water) ... however, you can die from what is known as "water intoxication" where it destabilizes the sodium levels in your body.

If you're asking about drinking too much alcohol... that can kill you from alcohol poisoning (quickly) ... or through various impaired activities while intoxicated or through long term effects of abusive drinking on your body's organs (liver and kidney failure).

no you will not drown but you can die from alochol poising or you will wish you were dead
