I'm really worried about my GPA! The grades I'm getting are ( I think) A-, A-, B, C-, B, A-, A. Can I still Be getting a 3.5 for GPA? I just need like an estimate,yes or no. And if you feel like sharing why you think that please do! I'm worried because grades were due today and I need a 3.5 to make honor roll at my school. Report cards don't come out until Friday and I would really like to have an idea ahead of time.

GPA is figured by averaging numerical equivalents of grades. If minuses don't figure in, C might be 2, B 3, and A 4. In that case your average would be 3.4, slightly below honor roll.

It depends entirely on how many points are assigned to those minus grades.

This assumes every class is weighted equally.

4.00 x 1 (A)
3.75 x 3 (A-)
3.00 x 2 (B)
1.75 x 1 (C-)

23 grade points / 7 classes = 3.285

Unless your school figures it differently than mine did, I think you have about a 3.2 there.
A- = 3.7
B = 3.0
C- = 1.7
A = 4.0

Add your grades up and divide by 7 and that gives you your GPA.

not likely - 3.5 = equal number of A's & B's - with a C-, that really skews things down and with all the A-'s I'd say your close, but no cigar
