Everybody that gets into heaven gets in with a fake ID that says, "Jesus" on it. If we try to pass the bouncer with our own identities we're all not on the list. So if a Christian makes a mistake that would make them a human. If they claim not to make mistakes, that makes them a liar and then consequentially, a hypocrite.

Actually the fact that we couldn't avoid making mistakes was kind of the whole reason that Jesus had to do what he did in the first place.

It depends. It think there are several cases to look at
1. If one believes in something and still does not follow that something, you may never had confessed to believe in it publically. That would not be hypocritical in the strictest sense.
2. If you profess Christianity but are not specific about what it means and do not follow it, you are also not hypocritical in the strictest sense.
3. If you profess or articulate to others a specific belief and do not follow that belief, you are a hypocrite, Christian or otherwise.
4. If you believe yet do not articulate your beliefs, specific or otherwise you are a hypocrite in a less strict sense Christian or otherwise if you do not follow those beliefs.
5. If you profess or articulate a belief specifically but follow that belief your are not hypocritical by that action.
6. If you profess you are a sinner you are less hypocritical because you admit you are imperfect and do not follow what you believe in.
7. If you profess you are a sinner and therefore do not follow your beliefs you are also professing your hypocrisy.

I must profess that I am a Christian and believe I am a hypocrite. Yet I'm not sure of how hypocritical I am due to the fact that the belief in my heart of how sinful I am and how firmly I believe in what I believe is known best by God alone.

If the world were more accepting of the good people and not condone the destructive activities of others, we wouldn't be in the deep trouble we are in today. But everyone likes to blame the other guy. I think Christians are hypocrites because they hold certain ideals that are very tight but not allow breathing room I see them become angry and hold alot of aggression in order to release themselves from the chains that bind. That is what makes Christians hypocritical. When they speak of goodness and go out and rape innocent people, like what happened to me as I entered my adulthood. Just for all their self serving issues, they weren't concerned about my welfare, just about having their use of my body to treat as they wished. Yet I kept getting attacked and held captive over and over again. And noone had the decency to help me move on. They just kept on getting their selfish needs met. They weree all cahtolics.

No, I don't think mistakes make them hypocrites.

The only thing I find hypocritical is expecting other people to allow them to worship as they see fit, yet many can't allow the same in return. Not all do that, but far too many...at least in the USA.

Riegan,
I try my best to be Christ-like. I personally believe that HE was a master and we are not able to be HIM but to be like HIM is wonderful. I absolutely sin and pray for GOD'S Forgiveness daily. I know that I am never going to be perfect and I ask that you and others let me know when I am not so that I can be forgiven by you and others who I have let down. I do not try to be hypocritical. I love people and try NEVER to point fingers or throw rocks as some people do. respect your opinion at all times and that of others (such as Deke) on here. Have a wonderful week.
Thank You,
Eds

First i choose for to declare that being pregnant isn't slightly mistake. Christian or no longer, being pregnant isn't approximately hypocrisy... it truly is approximately irresponsible way of existence. There are greater beneficial than TEN kinds of delivery administration obtainable. any a sort of ten mixed with a condom would be greater beneficial than one hundred% efficient for scuffling with being pregnant. theory is not any "little mistake." the only reason being pregnant happens is through fact it truly is no longer prevented. If a Christian spends any volume of time beating others excessive with their ideals... then become doing the comparable issues... it somewhat is hypocrisy. What would you extremely human beings call it? i like to call a pointed backyard digging gadget a pointed backyard digging gadget.

I believe that God is the creator of all, Jesus (the Son of God in human form) died for our sins and left us the Holy Spirit to guide and teach us...if that's all a mistake then I'm GUILTY! Does it make me a hypocrite, NO, because this is what I believe and have never said otherwise...
try not to "lump" everyone into one category because they may believe something different from what you believe.

No, what makes a lot of them hypocrites is the fact that they damn others for "breaking God's commandments" then go ahead and break rules laid out for them by their religion. They pick and choose what parts of the Bible to adhere to. They make the claim that "this part is literal" and "that part is allegorical" to justify their own lifestyles.

No, they're hypocrites if they say they'll do better and make the same mistake again...just like everyone else.

No.

They are hypocrites because they preach hate.

Like the good Christian who said the CA fire was punishment for gay marriage. There were many good Christians who agreed with him.
