Yeah, get a proper house spray from a vets. I've often heard that exterminators don't do the trick.

Also please try to encourage your neighbours to get some proper flea treatment for their cats - tell them to get some Frontline from a vets. If you can convince them not to let their cats out anymore, you should be able to convince them just to get some proper flea treatment! Then the cats could go outside again and you wouldn't be troubled by fleas, everyone wins. But you do need to treat your house properly, and they probably need to treat theirs.

They cant live on humans, they bite you when they jump on you. Get your cat some proper flea treatment from the vet, you have to do it once a month. its no more expensive at the vet than it is at the pet shop but I always think its more effective from the vet and thats where I get mine from. Flea collars dont work. Put one inside the hoover bag when you hoover so that they dont jump out again when you hoover. Best of luck.

Don't forget that there is no product on the market that you can spray in your house that will kill the eggs. So unfortunately you will be treating your flea problem for at least the next six months as all the eggs hatch.
