Well, my school has uniform.. and some people are saying uniform shouldn't be worn, and some people say it should be worn... What do you think?
I have a few reasons why uniform should be worn..:
If your class ever goes to another school or place, people will know who you are and where you're from, and wont think you're some other stranger. Another one is for example your class goes to a class stip somewhere, and you get lost.. you'll know who to find by checking if they are wearing the same uniform as you.

=D what do you think? :)

I think that uniforms are useful.

Apart from what you mentioned, they're also meant to be "equalizers" in that there won't be conflict, self-esteem issues, etc. because of those who can parade around wearing fancy clothes and those who can't (afford to).

As a pupil i actually agree with uniforms, even though they are pretty itchy as mentioned above! I agree, because school is a place in which everyone has to attend, due to this pupils from different backgrounds attend, for instance different levels of wealth, different sexes and religions. Uniform introduces the element of equality and also a barrier between classes of people, yet a link, in which people which may normally not relate to one and other, do. Overall, uniform is a good idea.

respect by community
respect by police and other outside authority figures
cheaper in long run
teaches you to show personality in different ways
focus on school instead of clothes or "things"

As a mom I would absolutely love school uniforms for my kids. It would make my life a lot easier! My kids would know what they needed to wear everyday and they would not spend energy worrying about how cool or uncool they are!

yes, theyre equalisers. They help to reduce inferiority complex in the minds of the dorks, those with bad fashion sensehave-nots and those "people of limited greens"(dollars) who cant afford to wear as girgeous outfits as the rich ones.
They also prevent students, especially girls from spending hours in the morning trying to find what to wear
They also serve as an identity to students of the school
If something ghastly happens to a student and the body ids to be identified, the school uniform will tell alot.

i like the uniform thing.

on the plus side, you don't have to worry about teased about the clothes you wear. not everyone can afford name brands. and as a parent, i don't have to worry about my child getting jumped for their name brand clothes, and can you imagine on the money you are saving in laundry (hint: the money saved can be used for more expensive xmas gifts.)
