I agree the Holy Spirit is God's Spirit but I'm not sure I agree with what they were getting at

I guess this video is a form of Protestant apologetics for the validity of the Trinity, although some Protestant denominations really get their panties in a bunch about it. The idea of a supreme Godhead who has 3 characteristics is found not only in certain forms of Christianity but in other religions and philosophies that were around when Christianity was being theologically developed in the first to third centuries CE. In Christianity that believes in a trinity, God is transcendent (God the Father), Redemptive (God the son), and is also an Intermediary, inspirational "spirit" linking God and the individual soul (Holy Spirit) They are not thought of as 3 different gods, but 3 unique manifestations of God.

No. The dogma of the Trinity is that there are three distinct Persons in ONE God. The Father is NOT the Spirit and vice versa. The Father is NOT the Son and vice versa etc. Each has an equal share in the Divinity. And they can communicate with each other. The Trinity dogma is simply about how God knows and loves Himself. It is also a simultaneous and ongoing occurance since there is still only ONE God. God the Father is aware of His Own existence by projecting His Image in the form of a begotton Son. Love proceeds from the Father and Son as the Holy Spirit (Ghost). This is a mutual love affair among all three. This is a love concoction which makes God LOVE. WISDOM springs from this love from the Holy Spirit since all creatures sometimes regard love as a weakness as opposed to power. In other words, true Wisdom teaches us that Love is the most powerful force in the world rather than a weakness. Creatures generally respect powerful beings rather than kind ones. Wisdom (Love in Holy Spirit) teaches us all things that love and kindness are ultimately true powerhouses. We are still prone not to accept that.

Your video was painful - no sound, the scriptures moved too slowly etc. (you did tell us to say what we thought about it)

Why do you think you can fully understand what God is? The Father and the spirit are somehow one and yet different. And Jesus is somehow one and yet separate also. Like in the book of John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

How can he be God and also be with God? It's like saying I'm standing next to myself. But that is what we are given to reconcile as best we can. So I don't claim to have a grasp of it 100% and yet I really don't need to. It's all of the above.

God is the Father, his Spirit is the Holy Ghost which he bestows on you, (think of it as your conscience and spiritual guide...therefore God lives IN YOU) and only through his Son Jesus can your sins be forgiven and can you pass through to get to heaven. It's simple. They are a trinity because they really are ONE as a whole.

And just WHAT is a trinitarian???

NO......bad logic

the Father is who we know as God.....

Jesus is the Son of God...who pre-existed with the Father before he came to earth

the Holy Spirit is a divine agent who performs the will of the Father, like Jesus did, and still does..

The trinity is a false teaching.
