i read somewhere and i also have been told that there are 72 groups but only one makes it to heaven...and plz people give me a break already i really not in a good mood right now please no idoit answers today...i am not feeling most tolerant at the moment...

here I had a friend explain the hadith I Hope it helps and clears any confusion :)
hadith of 72 groups explained
judiasm has divided into seventy one groups
christianity has divided into seventy two groups
and this nation will divide into seventy three group,
all are in hell EXCEPT one
the companions of the prophet PBBUH asked him WHO ARE THEY ???

What you have written is a lie created by your media. Neither is written in Quran about 72 virgins nor Prophet Mohammad ever said. Quran only says those who will be rewarded heaven will get to choose the most beautiful women as their wives in addition to wife if this life if they want her also.

I believe it is a hadeath that says that by the end of this world Muslims will have 72 sects of Islam. Right now we have not more than 4 or 5. But fundamental belief of all of us is same and we pray same way like Prophet did. Even the Shias also pray like sunnies. Difference between Shias and sunnis is political and not the religious practice. I have prayed with Shias and one Shia family prays with us in our sunni Masjid every Friday. He is very knowledgeable MD doctor and some times our Imam ask this doctor to lead our Friday prayers also.

I have not seen any reference to this, but I have only read the Bukhari Hadith. It's not in the Koran. The only thing close to it that I'm aware of is "those of the right hand and those of the left hand".
Jesus stated that "I am the way and the truth and the Life. No one comes to the father except through me." (John 14:6)

and in the quran it never sayed 72 groups brought into heaven its says that
"when you go to heaven you will get 72 virgins"
if that what you meant ??
