I just find it interesting that while I ask many probing biblical or doctrinal questions about Christianity or issues surrounding the faith or their beliefs about God, NEVER ONCE would I ever question the validity of a Christian's devotion to God, try to make them doubt the validity of their personal relationship with God even if their view of God is different to mine.

You would never hear me say, "You are not REALLY serving God." or any such snide remarks to suggest their belief in God is invalid or untrue or even that their God itself is untrue.

As far as I am concerned, just because I personally did not find God within that faith, book and doctrine does not mean someone else cannot find God there.

So why do certain Christians make such comments to non-Christians?

Do they assume just because you aren't Christian you have not fully explored their faith, bible and tried to commune with God as Jesus or Jehovah within the perimeters of their belief system?

I'm glad you clarified "certain" christians on here.. there are some nice ones who don't behave that way.

Unfortunately, it's a sickness with the ones who do.. they're infected with this idea that they are better than non-believers because "god" likes them better.. they believe they are the favored children and the rest of us are just going to be punished forever.. so they feel it's their duty to rub it in.

I'm sure you remember elementary school.. it's similar to that.

I think that most cristians already *know* that they are really worshipping a stone age magic book, an imaginary "messiah" and an imaginary "god" TALK ABOUT SUPERSTITION PEOPLE !

Most cristians are not even aware of the extent of their delussions. Many in the USA are cristian, OK... if they were all born in say Saudi Arabia, then they'd quite likely be muslims, or born in india, possible muslim or hindu. My point is that the cristians in the USA follow the myth of jesus, because of the place of birth "lottery" that we are all subject to. They are just following the sheep without *really* thinking for themselves.

I read the bible and became an atheist, it is the most absurd self proclaimed 'holy' book i have ever come across.

The fact that there is numerous different religions all over the world kind of points to the fact that they are all man made with no intervention from any supernatural "gods". If the Egyptians were right about their religion and gods, then we'd still be buring our dead in pyramids and worshipping cats !

Man is the true inventor of many "Gods" - FACT. Which one do you want to worship? Well, it depends on where you are born, but they are all as imaginary as the next.

Most people believe the religion they were raised to believe. How does that become a matter of truth or falsity? If you were raised in India, the chances are, you would be a Hindu. What most people assume is that God placed them in exactly the right country, in exactly the right family and in exactly the right church, but everyone else got it wrong. Does that make sense to you? The other problem people like this need to face is that they profess to be the only ones who are correctly reading the Bible, but if you question them you will find they also admit they need to learn and grow in their faith. Which one is it folks? Either you have it right and everyone else needs to shut up and listen to you, or you don't yet know what you are talking about and need to learn. You can't have it both ways.

Guess you must not watch the television or follow court cases or victimology worldwide at all if you think that Christians are not hammered EACH and EVERY day of the week for our belief, trust, and faith in Jesus Christ.

Since Almighty God and Jesus Christ give EVERY person who has EVER lived & will ever live the right and freedom to choose to believe and accept or deny and reject THEM as the one and only Almighty God and Jesus Christ, I try hard not to do so also.

Besides, belief or non-belief is between EACH and EVERY individual person born on this Earth and Almighty God and Jesus Christ.

All I know is what Jesus Christ promises, "ANY who seek ME, will find ME."

For me, as a Christian, Jesus Christ only asks of me to provide the introduction, and the invitation for a meeting. What each person does with the invitation is between them and Jesus Christ. If the invitation is accepted, then Jesus Christ takes the meeting, not me.

Not one human Christian who lives or who has ever lived was/is capable of saving anyone. That is strictly Jesus Christ's authority, right, and ability. All any Christian CAN do is offer an introduction and an invitation, Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ ALONE does the rest.

all of Jesus teaching were under the old law ten commandments. but Jesus ushered in a new covenant at his death on the cross, a will only goes into effect when the one who made it is proven dead, Jesus died on a cross two thousands years ago to take away the sins of the whole world never to see them again, Jesus also ushered in a new covenant at his death on the cross (hebrews 10:16,18. this is where we as christians live today under the new covenant and we live in the new testament, Jesus fulfilled the old law by walking in perfect love all the way to the cross and love was the fulfillment of the old law. but the lost are still under the old law. if you have a will when will it go into effect. a testament, a old testament, a will, a old will, a law, a old law these are all the same in God eyes.

I'd answer your main question by saying that we are often told on this forum that God isn't real and that we are not "real" Christians.

I'd answer your details by saying I've seen people respond to other religions by saying it's false, but I've never really seen anyone argue faithfulness or dedication about a particular person.

it is not an ssumption. If you have fully explored christianity, you would have found the presence of the Holy Spirit. The very Spirit of God sent to inhabit your human vessel as a tabernacle or temple of God. The very reason for this indwelling is to help you fellowship with Jesus. Can any other faith system turn your body into a vessel filled with the glory of God. None of them make that claim. Once you have that there is no need to go seeking any pace else. Many christians have not found that yet but are seeking it also. I encourage you to try it again and ask Jesus to fill you with His glory.

Christians are told those things, every day. Just because you don't say them, doesn't mean they are not said. I thank you for your kindness, and if you are really trying to find God, keep looking, He is there. Besides, Christians are used to people saying things about them. If they are not, they should be. The Word says, we will be persecuted, punished, and even killed for being Christians. But don't worry about us (Isaiah 54:17 )

I wouldn't mind you telling me that, actually. I would firmly say that it is your right to believe that my God is not real. I would ask you if it matters to you that I worship Him, if he's not real.

Just because you study it, and explore it, does not mean you have a full understanding of true religious experience.

And this is not an insult to you, or anyone who belives these things, I'm just stating my opinion as you state yours.
