Your are so right man...Christians are the same as everyone else. The idea is to be set apart. To be different, to say no when everyone says yes. Character. To know that how Christians act in church should be the way they act outside of church. I mean the being an example part. So many people have turned it into a fad. A show, another thing to do. Instead of realizing the seriousness of being a Christian. In Matthew 5:13, Jesus says, "Ye are the salt of the earth..." As the word "earth" in that statement refers to our sphere of influence, the Lord provides there a powerful illustration of the impact and impression Christians should be making on the society in which they live. Christians are responsible to "live out" their Christianity where God has placed them. People think its funny and that its a game. :^( Notice that Jesus isn't asking for volunteers. He says, "Ye are the salt." Whether you want to be or not, you are salt. This means that Christians are to function as salt in the little piece of geography to which God has called them: their neighborhood, the office, or wherever they are. Christians are to make an impact upon that area of influence. The sad part is people who are not christians know this. Christians place a bad name on themselves and wonder why no one wants to be apart or experience the joy being a real Christian is.

True Christians don't do any of those things (drink, smoke, curse, dance provocatively...) Or atleast they will try their hardest not to.
Divorce is only bad for a Christian to do, if it's for the wrong reasons. If someone is falling back into sin as a Christian, they can always try to change their ways again, and pray for forgiveness. The "Christians" who do these things which are wrong, (and don't find anything wrong with it) are obviously hypocrites. It doesn't mean that all the other Christians out there are the same...It's just a difference in those people's point of veiw, on what *they* think is a "Christian". And yes, I do agree, there are those people who claim to be Christians, who act no different than non-Christians. I don't know why those people act the way they do, but just because of the way they act, doesn't mean that other's who are true Christians, act the same.

A Christian is a follower of Christ,,,,Christ would not get drunk,,,,smoke,,,,,dance to music not worship in nature,,,,he would not curse,,,,and certainly would not divorce his wife,,,,if he got married,,which of course he did not......
Just different religious beliefs???? I think not....those who do are in for a big surprise, come Judgment Day....they have not repented if they do those things....without repentance, there is no salvation...you don't get saved on Sunday and go to a nighclub within a week...repenting is a serious part of your salvation....if you don't do it,,,you are not saved...

Sorry, Sylvestre, yet i do no longer think of you frustration would be resolved quickly, as this is a factor of the human situation to be inconsistent, in spite of what your faith one subscribes to. You point out smoking (which admittedly is between the vilest behavior a man or woman can take excitement in) and eating as examples of issues that harm the physique and are hence a sin. i may be greater indignant by using the undeniable fact that Christians advance, own and technique the tabacco and that different Christians manufacture it into cigarettes. involved by income. So what if hundreds of thousands are addicted? There attitude is "nicely, no one's have been given a gun at their head making them smoke!" quite self-serving and hypocritical. What with regard to the great overeating it is endemic in this u . s . a .? and not a number of the main religious Christians fall into this classification. those people stampeding the all-you-can-consume buffets? they are Christian overwhelmingly. apparently, "gluttony" is a sin, while smoking isn't listed as such. What with regard to the Christians mindlessly using a 10 mpg SUV from procuring mall to mall motor vehicle parking zone? the international's oil factors will final perpetually? i do no longer think of so. this is not in elementary terms an attack on our bodies as temples because of the emissions and such, however the "temple" we call "earth," to boot. It additionally makes us based on our enemies for our "drug of decision" petroleum, which we are patently prepared to spill blood over. In a consumerist society, the place people are flush with money and tedium, they'll do as they want. you should prepare consistency and not assume others to stick on your customary, or you would be very dissappointed, and in all probability lonely. make constructive you "think of globally and act domestically."

There is only one belief, that is the Lord Jesus Christ. There are many manmade religions, but Jesus is the only true way to the one true God, which is called the Gospel, not a religion. Therefore if you are serving God you will not want to do the things that are not pleasing to Him. We all sin, yes, but we are to pray and seek guidance from the Holy Spirt and strive to walk the way that Jesus commanded. We are saved by Grace, but that is not a license to sin. We must daily ask true forgiveness for our sins and seperate ourselves from our old habits and lifestyle, if you truly are saved, this can be done, and you will want to. :)

Of course - who says religion determines your character, your likes/dislikes, your personality? Religion is like a drug that people are hopelessly addicted to. I feel sorry for them all.
