I currently live in a dorm right now and my dorm payment includes cable, so I'm getting myself a TV but I need to order the cord that will connect cable to my TV? What is that cord called?

It looks like this:

It's called a Coax TV cable.

Can be bought from Walmart, Kmart or any major electronics store like Bestbuy or Circuit city (costs more there though).

It's called a jumper and your cable TV rep will gladly give you one when he/she comes out to install your cable. When they do an installation, they give you everything it takes to get the signal to your TV. Then they look at it to make sure the picture quality is good before they leave. If the picture is bad, they'll either do some troubleshooting to fix it or turn your work order over to the repair department to set up a repair call. The repair call is free. But, they may charge extra if they have to run new cables or something.
