Well there's not much left of an "empire" per say. At the time of its success, the Islamic empire stretched across Asia Minor (Ottoman Empire), Persia (Safavid Empire), and India (Mughal Empire), as well as parts of West Africa and Southeast Asia. This might help you a little bit:
