You accept your religious difference if you truly "love" each other. Neither of you is going to hell because hell doesn't exist.

The Bible does encourage Christians to marry other believers. However maybe God put the two of you together for a purpose. Maybe He wants you to witness to your spouse and show him God's love and grace. As for going to heaven or hell that is up to God to decide but I believe that if you know Christ and you are saved, then you will be okay.

If he or she is an atheist they do not believe in hell. So they wouldn't end up there. And I'm not christian so I dont know much about it but does it mention in the bible about marrying out of your religion? In my opinion religion just gets in the way of everything in instance a happy marriage and peace between countries. Religion just creates problems. That's why thousands of people are dying right now because America doesn't want to surrender and convert religions.

Technically I'm a Christian and I'm getting married to an Athiest in the summer. He said he would never push what his thoughts on religion were on me and he hasn't and I know he never will. My views on religion have changed on my own within the past four years and I respect all religions. I wouldn't really say that I believe in all Christian beliefs now. I think there's a little fact and fiction in all religions, but I respect each one, and so does my Fiance.

According to 1 Corinthians, an unbelieving spouse is justified by the believing spouse.

If they are not of the elect, those chosen out for salvation, then yes they will. They may be an unbeliever now, but that does not necessarily mean they will be one until death.
Your Heavenly state is not changed by your spouse. If you are a believer, saved, redeemed, forgiven and justified by the work of Christ, then your salvation is assured, no matter what your spouse does or doesn't do.

Just reading this question,,makes me thank God,,we got saved at the same time,,,we were both on fire for learning the truth and when we realized we had found it,,,we couldn't get baptized fast enough...I know it doesn't happen this way a lot and I feel double blessed that it happened to us that way...we were saved in 1980 and have never regretted one minute spent serving the Lord..

My husband was a lead singer in a band and when he got saved,,,he caused quite a stir,,,a lot of people are now saved because they looked up to him and figured if he changed, anyone could..LOL....and anyone can...

Let's see what the bible may say:

Exodus 20:5: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

The spouse appears to be okay, but the sin of being an atheist will apparently be spread to the great and great-great grandkids.

Nobody's going to Hell - I do wish people would get off this fixation.

Hell is the boogey-man that was invented by the priests of olden times to keep people afraid so they would obey!

But I guess you couldn't get married in a church, right?!

I wouldn't worry about it because nobody really knows for sure if there is an after life. I would just try to be happy with the time you have here with that person because this may be the only time you will experience.
