I had a discussion with some friends and we each listed our top 5 Christian books that we have read (besides the Bible) that have changed our lives, persepctives, etc. So, what books or authors are in your top 5? Mine are: The Normal Christian Life by Watchman Nee, An Unstoppable Force by Erwin McManus, Your God is Too Safe by Mark Buchanan, Broken in hte Right Place by Alan Nelson, Ruthless Turst by Brenan Manning

I love this question! I guess we're excluding the Bible and all books therein, though.

Here are my favorite non-Bible, Christian books:
1. What's So Amazing About Grace, Philip Yancey
2. The Ragamuffin Gospel by Brennan Manning
3. Prayer by Philip Yancey
4. The Jesus I Never Knew by Philip Yancey
5. Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire by Jim Cymbala

As you can see, I'm a megafan of Philip Yancey - I think he's just the most gifted of writers in addition to having grace I want to emulate. Plus, he helped me understand my faith so much more, and was the reason a good friend of mine came to know Christ.
