Recently I turned on my TV to find it had no audio. It gets zero sound no buzz, no stadic, no white noise. I checked the menu and the speakers are indeed on. What is going on here? Should I just buy some external speakers? Would that work? What would be the best solution. Serouis answers only please

Does this happen on all channels or just one? If just one, it's a problem with the TV station.

Is the volume turned up (I know this is obvious, but you'd be surprised how many people don't check this)?

Do you have a cable box? Is the volume turned up on the box?

Do you have multiple inputs to the TV (RF and video inputs)? If so, is there no sound on all inputs?

Do you have a DVD player or VCR hooked up to your TV? Do you get audio when you play one of these devices?

If you still don't have audio, try turning off the TV for about 10 seconds and powering it up again.

If you still have no audio, the audio circuit in your TV is likely shot. You will either have to hook it up to an external amplifier (audio out cables to a stereo) or get a new TV.
