i found him alone, there were no other kittens around. i will be taking him to the vet tomorrow morning to get him checked out.
i did not buy him at this age. i know how important it is to keep them with their mother while they are still this young.

If its eyes are still shut its under 2 weeks old. From the photo i'd say 7 to 8 days, which means its eye should be opening in the next few days.
I hope your feeding him a specialized animal formula and not straight cows milk, or the puppy milk you can get from the supermarket.
He will also need to have its bladder and bowels emptied at least 3-5 times a day, after a feed. Mother cat would help him do that by licking the parts. You can substitute by using a damp warm tissue and rub his tummy and bottom, to get him to go.
And get him vet checked. Some cats have worms, or ringworm, a fungal infection, both of which could be passed onto you.
If your not able to do all this, I'd suggest taking him to an Animal Shelter, and leave it to the professionals.
It is possible to have a healthy cat grow from this stage, but its a lot of work.

PLEASE PLEASE take this kitten to the vet to make sure it is healthy and that you are caring for it properly.

The kittens' eyes will begin to open around 7-10 days of age. Do not pry open the lids for any reason, as the immature eye is not yet ready to handle light. Some kittens will take a day to open the eyes while others will take 3-4 days. The retina matures around 5 weeks of age and the kitten sees clearly. The eyes will have a bluish color to them at first and then change to their adult color over time. If the eyes appear white or solid blue, take the kitten to the veterinarian right away.

The ears open at about 14 days of age. The kittens should hear clearly by 4 weeks of age.

I'd guess about 2 weeks from the one picture that showed crusts on his eyelids I would say that his eyes have been open or partially - looks like possibly an eye cold, try taking a warm wash cloth and wiping at his eyes and see what happens.

newborn kittens generally open their eyes within two weeks of being born. Your kitty must be lessthan two weeks old.

You should bring it to a vet for a complete check up and instruction of proper care.

it sounds like you are doing a good job so far.

between around 4 and ten days i would think
kittens eyes open between 10-14 days so you'll soon know more about his age.
Maybe you should get him to a vet if you just found him.
He's very cute
good luck

I'd say a week to 2 weeks.

My cat was 3 weeks and a tiny bit bigger & her eyes we're opened.
You must bottle feed him as well. And thats always fun.

Make sure you put a towel around the bottle. Or he'll dig his claws into your fingers. It hurts.

She/He looks like they are approximatley 1-2 weeks old. My cat had 2 litters, and they opened their eyes soon after the 1 1/2 - 2 week mark. This little fellow should be opening his eyes soon.

It looks like it will be a furry fluffy cat. I hope you can take good care of him.

I wouuld say that the cat is 1-1/2 weeks old.
Are there any more baby cats? Why did the mom abandon him?
