well they get it from the bible believe it or not.
you are right with that you have to repent and it will be forgiven too you.
but the things that you do, do have consequences... and if you read the bible, you are able to see, how the story of some very important people changed....
the blessing that you ones had, gets minimized and every time you sin, you get lost a little more....
it's not like you can sin and expect to get everything you would before you did it.
what it's telling you is, when you repaint you still can go to heaven,... but your blessings aren't the same.
do you know the story of Abraham and Sarah???
God told them they would have children, even though they where way out of the age to have kids.... he got the message from, and instead of waiting for his wife Sarah to get pregnant, he took one of her servants and had a child with her. that was a sin, and not what God planned.
he ended up having finally a child with Sarah and the end of the story with the other child is, that he had to send them away. why? because it was a consequence of his mistake/sine. did he still get the promise of the child that God gave to him and Sarah? yes he did. he had the pro missed child.
so where do come morals from??? from the bible!!!! even though you will be forgiven, your sins will have consequences, not just for you, but worse, for the generation after you.
Abraham's son did the same mistake as his father, when he was lien to the king telling that his wife was his sister, and both, his dad in his time and his son almost lost there wife's to another man.
every sin caries on...
believe in morals....
(=
God bless you

We get our morals from the ten commandants, of the bible. Repent means to not do that sin again, the bible dose not teach to ask for forgiveness and then go out and do that same sin again. People that are truly sorry in their hearts will not steel again, deceive again, or lie again, People believe in Jesus because they love him not out of fear, the more you study the bible the more you fall in love with Jesus, it is something you will never understand because your heart seems cold. G-D looks on the heart of man and only he alone knows who is sorry or not. Jesus said if you love me keep my commandents not if you fear me.

Your circular logic is astounding. Morals come from wanting to do good and be good for the sake of being good AS WELL AS wanting to please God. Living a good, moral life has little to do with simply fearing punishment in the afterlife. Every single person sins no matter their faith. Christians simply acknowledge the fact that we're flawed. We also believe that while we all sin, God does forgive if we ask for forgiveness, but He only gives it if we are sincere and do not intentionally commit the same sin again. It has to do with the fact that DOING good FEELS good.

not truly. Christians get their morals from God. He told us how to behave. the problem is that alot fo Christians, or people who refer to themselves as such, simply don't do it. They also don't reap the benefits either. so it goes both ways. the morals come from God. they are written in the book. the rewards are simply perks of being with God. the punishment is simply the lack of intolerance to disobedience. as for forgiveness, well You must truly repent and you must truly forgive. and the situation must truly be over. as in it should never happen again. true repentence means turning from your ways.

Did you ever obey your parents as a kid, or did you always do what you wanted regardless of what they said? Has any of their words of advice or actions helped you in any way throughout the years as you were growing up? Have you ever enjoyed the good things that happened BECAUSE you obeyed them, or suffered the consequences when you didn't? If friends wanted you to steal something with them and you got caught and ACCIDENTALLY killed someone, wouldn't you want your parents to try to bail you out of a death sentence?
People obey God out of love, not fear. When you love someone you're willing to sacrifice and put them above yourself; you do things for them BECAUSE you love them. Obviously, the real meaning of the word hasn't hit you yet.
You also have no conception of forgiveness and repentence either. You are not just forgiven just because you ask (although a lot of Christians who are "hearers of the word" only seem to think so).
We are ONLY forgiven of sins that are past; meaning sins that we have put behind us and no longer do or commit.
If we don't FORSAKE our sins, then we are not forgiven because the atonement only covers the sins we have forsaken:
Romans 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of SINS THAT ARE PAST, through the forbearance of God;
Hebrews 10:26 For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sin.
If we know we shouldn't do something but we do it anyway, then Christ's atonement doesn't cover that sin. He said be DOERS of his word, not hearers only.

As Paul writes in Romans 7, "...by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code. What shall we say, then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! Indeed I would not have known what sin was except through the law."

It’s obvious you have no knowledge of the Bible. Our purpose is not to “be good, believe in Jesus, and get to heaven”, it’s about giving God glory through a personal relationship with Him through Jesus Christ. We need Jesus because our sins separate us from God and Jesus fills the space. We are “good” because it pleases God. (I'll spare you by not quoting scripture considering most people bashing Christians on here always say “NO QUOTING THE BIBLE”. I assumed that you, like them, wouldn't want to see scripture.)
