When the bible reads like this:

1 Timothy 2:11-15
Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing.

Ephesians 5:22-24
Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

I agree with Holy Scripture completely. But, you left out what the scriptures say about men, to love their wife as Christ loves the Church. Why wouldn't a woman want to submit to her husband if he has her best interest in mind at all times... Have a great day.

Was Paul right about salvation, but wrong about the roles of women?

If claiming that women are saved through childbirth, is a 'cultural statement', then why isn't belief in a god born of a virgin?

Its not the Achilles Heal by any means, just another discrepancy in religious philosophy that adds our disbelief.

By not addressing these types of questions, you just add to that disbelief.

I feel that in our church women play a very important part.. we are just as important as the men in our church.. alot of people like to use the verse " wives summit to your husband," to mean we are being help back,, but our husbands are suppose to lead us,, but without us a big part of the church would suffer..

The verses tell it like it is. Who are we to question it? I am honored to have been given a role that is unique. Submissiveness doesn't equal subserviance.

All I can say to that is that Paul was a bit anti-feminist, as was the society at the time. It was very patriarchal. Times have changed; gender roles have changed.
