black beans with brown rice seasoned low sodium no salt added green beans and carrot sticks all with little spicy hot sauce and garlic powder. healthy or not

Sounds good...just an FYI....even tho you have black beans as a protein, it's always good to add a meat protein. The meat protein breaks down the sugar in the starch. This is really good for someone with Diabetes. Also, you will get less fat grams if you add meat.

healthy but too much carbs and not enough protein. meals should be protein based to keep blood sugar and insulin levels stable and low.

a better meal would be:

white fish or skinless poultry
beans/rice
vegetables
