Cuantos años tiene? You can ask that question if you ask, for example, older people and you want to be formal.
Cuantos años tiene? can also be said, if you ask how old is he/she/it?
Note that these questions should have a question mark at the BEGINNING of the question too, and it should be written UPSIDE DOWN, but sorry I don´t have it on my computer.
