I have a 2000 Dodge Durango with a V8 5.9 liter engine. The truck starts and then dies when I let my foot off of the gas. Any ideas? It has a full tank of gas and all fluids are full and a somewhat new battery. Please ANY and ALL ideas are greatly appreciated. I can't get to work because I can't get the truck outta the driveway.

Thanks in advance....
:)

Chrysler/evade/Jeep has historic previous of transmission issues. I owned a 2003 evade Ram 1500 and that i took care of it, replaced the oil tires and so on. I did a transmission flush on it at 50,000 miles. Then 5,000 miles later, It replaced into initiating to whine. I took it to evade and that they mentioned my transmission is on it truly is way out. each and all of the fluid replaced into nonetheless there, and the clear out. i finished up merchandising it for $15,000 as is. My ingredient is, in case you will have adequate money a $3-4000 transmission replace activity, then get it. If no longer enable it stay the place it somewhat is. sturdy luck

This may be a computer issue....I was having a dead battery and once jumped the car still stalled, despite not neading the defective battery after start.

Turns out the compuer goes wonky when interupted like that.

The solution to my problem was a new battery. But a version of this problem may be effecting you.

have the computer scanned on it,this will tell you if its a sensor that's causing that too happen, there's about 50 things that will cause that without having it scanned all you can do is buy parts and guess at it,and that can get too expensive to do,have it scanned then you,ll know, for sure, good luck with it.

Sounds like you might have water in your gas tank or a clogged fuel filter. Have someone check the fuel filter first.
Good luck!
